You are incorrect there. Most of the early European monetary systems were strongly affected by Jews. Jewish people were quite close to the crowns of most of Europe. As money lenders and such primarily. It's part of the problem they had in Europe 1000 years ago, and 500 years ago, etc. Kings and nobles aren't necessarily happy when it comes time to pay the piper.
