One of the most common messages you hear from the abortion industry is that moms who have an abortion don’t regret their decision.

The abortion industry releases biased studies, deceptive statements, and misleading statistics to push the idea that having an abortion is really no big deal. In fact, Planned Parenthood – the largest abortion provider in the U.S. – goes as far as claiming on their website that most parents are relieved about their abortion.

But as you know, abortion regret isn’t a myth. Abortion regret is REAL.

We hear stories in our Health Care Centers of moms who felt pressured to abort. Moms who believed they had no other option or nowhere else to turn. Moms who thought they would have no support. And couples who followed bad advice and wish they could turn back the clocks.

Then, we hear the fallout of the decisions. We hear stories of moms who struggle with grief and regret for decades. Couples who have broken relationships. Families who will never be the same. All because of abortion.

One way we honor some of the one million children lost to abortion every single year is through the website, abortionmemorial.com. On this website, moms, dads, grandparents, and other family members are invited to share their stories, thoughts, and prayers to remember children who never had a chance at life outside the womb.

Here’s just one of the stories posted recently by an anonymous author:

My Beautiful Baby,
I miss you with ALL of my heart. It has been 29 years and the sadness and regret of not giving you life never goes away. I am SO sorry for my decision. I regret it daily and I miss you deeply daily. I know that you are at peace with the Lord.
You have a brother here, I know he also would have loved you very much.
I acknowledge the personhood, soul, and dignity of this [preborn] child.
With Deep Love,
Mommy

The Good Lord has given us all free will in our lives here on earth. He endowed us with knowledge , wisdom and discernment so we can weigh our choices and judgments before we act. It is not in the interests of a free and democratic society to legislate what is right or wrong when it comes to abortion. Each of us arrives at that decision based on our experiences and education and even perhaps a genetic component. What you deem as right for you I might consider wrong for me.
At the end of time we all must face a day of reckoning where the ultimate judge rules on our behavior and deeds and metes out judgment. It is not up to you or anyone else to play the role of G-D in these decisions because G-D is ineffable and know one knows how He thinks. I also believe that what drives your intention is
of great value to our creator.

What about the rights of the father? Shouldn't he have a say in whether a baby is aborted or not?

The father should have some input in the decision of abortion, but ultimately it is the mother who carries the child in her womb who is the rightful authority on whether or not to abort IMHO.

How do you figure that? The soil holding the seed is more important than the farmer who planted it? That doesn't compute. A miscarriage is different than an abortion.

Actually, the medical industry should have developed a MALE Birth Control pill, shot or something a long time ago! That would have given men MUCH MORE CHOICE about the whole issue and prevented a lot of those aborted MISTAKES!!!

It's because it's her body that carries the child and she has a right to make decisions over her own body and not the father.

The baby is a body within a body. The DNA doesn't even match.

The fetus receives nourishment from the mother's body and if the host body should die, the infant child would die too. The mother is who gives life to the unborn child.

What is the moral difference between the decision to avoid an unwanted pregnancy and the decision to risk it and then murder the unwanted baby?

The mother creates the body, God gives it life.

But you are leaving out another person who is greatly effected by the decision-the child. If the child is a will be woman, should she not have some say over her own body? The reasoning about "your own body" is fine, as long as you do not take another life-don't want this pregnancy? Great-just do not kill the baby, if there is any way to do that, I would support that decision-if it is late enough in the pregnancy, perhaps the child can still live, especially late term abortions that so many are in favor of allowing.

If G-D gives it life then let G-D be the judge and jury of whether or not to punish the woman who chooses abortion and not any humans.

You are confusing the rationale of who has the choice in abortion. It is not the fetus who is still unborn and relies on the mother to either bring it to term or abort it as she sees fit. The fetus is incapable of making this decision for itself and only the mother can decide its fate. Humans should not interfere in this decision making process. It is between the mother and G-D.

Very few ob/gyns rarely perform late term abortions. In most cases, the fetus has already died, or the fetus has a condition that is incompatible with life. More often than not, the woman has been pregnant, setting up a nursery, nesting in her life to prepare for her new baby. She doesn't want to abort, but the baby will not live.

PP doesn't notify parents of underage children seeking an abortion because if the young woman could trust her parents not to be abusive, she would tell them herself. It's not an easy thing to go through for a teenager. In some cases, the teenager is pregnant because her mother's boyfriend impregnated her. Her mother knows, but doesn't care, as long as she is getting what she wants from the guy.

I wish I could describe how horrible anti-choice propaganda can be. I did family planning clinic defense when I was in college. One anti-choice man shook his baby in my face, until the baby was dead. Someone else put a dead fetus in a box, and showed it off to couples entering a family planning clinic. Possession of a deceased fetus for the purpose of arguing a political position is, of course, illegal.

So if the father wants to abort the child and the mother doesn't, should the father be financially responsible? From the deed happening, the man has NO say? What about equality of the sexes?
