Carry,

Much of what you express is being done.. first we must acknowledge that the situation has been created not by the players but by the owners.. that includes both money and the statements..

As for community involvement, K has raised millions of dollars for the issues involved. He has put the work in very well. Not just an expression on the side of the field but full time year round.. very strong man with with convictions..

Yea K has very strong convictions.
He’s convicted of being a racist and moron by single handedly destroying the nfl.

Planned Parenthood is mostly in Black neighborhoods because Sanger, the founder, was enthralled with Nazi Germany's eugenics programs and wanted to sterilize as many Blacks as possible so they would not procreate.

No one can argue that fact.

You only pay them if you attend a game.
Our men and women who serve our Country, fight and die so we have the right to protest and those players have the right to freely express their beliefs .
Politics is all it is.

Here is my two cents worth. In many cases the arena’s for the gladiators are built by tax money of the citizens of the cities they, the gladiators play in. The first time it came to my attention was when the Dodgers moved from new york to california. The city of los angeles eminently domained Chavez Ravine, a Mexican area, and removed the legal owners so the city could build dodger stadium. More recently it seems cities compete to entice teams to come by building new arenas for the gladiators. That unfortunately is not ticket money by viewers. San Diego rebuilt Jack Murphy Stadium for the Chargers and guaranteed a minimum gate. If the gate was less the City paid to cover the loss with tax money. The Chargers left anyway so the city lost then built a new arena for the Padres so they would not leave. Now I don’t know what is being done with Jack Murphy (also called Qualcomm Stadium).

The statement that you only pay them if you attend a game is misleading at best. They get advertising $$ as a result of their celebrity-and unless you determine that you will never buy another thing from a company that advertises on the games, puts advertising on the fences, and that these bozos promote on TV, you are still paying. So you would have to determine that you would never buy anything from Ford, GM, or Chrysler, that you would purchase nothing made by General Mills-and I imagine you are not sure what exactly they all produce, and any other advertising-And you should probably let those people know you are not buying and why-it would be a good idea to stop watching any TV, because most of these guys are routinely on a talk show or a post game show, or whatever. Pretty self limiting, unfortunately. And you would have to look at each team and player and see who pays for their endorsement.

As for me, I do not want to work that hard just because some little children with pea brains and no moral compass or gratitude for being blessed to live in a country where they are allowed to do it, continue to draw the millions, and still be thought of as "heroes" but the brain dead people who actually watch the stuff. In addition, they often get paid just to sign their name, or attend a rally of some sort. I simply ignore them.

I have no idea who they are, what team they are playing for-except the Packers, since I live in Appleton, WI, and the paper here has the Packers stuff in every section and the sports section is nearly entirely Packers and Brewers and Bucks. Very little on local teams, college or high school, and nothing on horse racing except for the Triple Crown and the Breeders Cup, and little about that. If WWiii started and the Packers were playing, the Packer game would be on page 1, and the WWIII would probably be on page 5 or 6.

How is the situation being created by the owners ....? The players are the ones out expressing their views, kneeling and jamming their fists in the air.

As far as the players involving themselves in the issues and actually putting their money where their mouths are, I have no doubt that some of them are doing that. But not all of them. And that is where the difference is made. Not their antics on the field, acting as though their cause is greater than anyone else's and that our flag and anthem mean nothing to them other than as useful tools to show the ultimate disrespect ... and will continue to do so until the rest of us do .... what, exactly?

See, the problem they have with this, Permie, is that most people are not racists and are fed up at having that accusation thrown in their faces. Are there racists out there? Sure. And if we're honest we'd admit there are both black and white racists. But on either side, not many. Are there racist police officers? Sure. But, again, a very small percentage. And not one person on the field, in the arena or watching the game on TV ever had any personal experience with slavery .... on either side of it. This intense focus on the issue appears to be an attempt to make all of us feel deficient in some way because they have chosen to look at the world through the lens of victimhood when they are more privileged than they would ever admit.

We all have our causes that are important to us ... issues that have affected our lives in ways others may not understand. And those are the issues we put our time and effort and money into. What you do is, you go out and find ways to help others in a similar situation. Do what you can with what you have and know that you have done your best. What you do not do is go out and lecture everyone you see, get in their face, disrespect them and what is important to them and tell them they are bad people and you are going to continue to get in their face if they don't listen to you and sympathize with you.
