Yes! But for some reason they don't see that as an issue.

Do you support football players obstainig from National Anthem before the game all in the name of Social Justice ? Should NFL players participate in politics while on the job ( playing football )???I know I was not allowed even talk politics ,much less participate in protests when I used to work!!! Do we pay them to play or to protest ??? If you want to protest for Social Justice , fine.......but do it on your own time!!!

***Do you support football players obstainig from National Anthem before the game all in the name of Social Justice ?
>>>NO

***Should NFL players participate in politics while on the job ( playing football )???
>>>NO. They are their to entertain and are using their position as an entertainer to push their agenda onto those that are there to be entertained. They don't pay outrageous amounts of money to see stupid people telling them what they need to do. Many, most have been non racist since before these babies were born.

***Do we pay them to play or to protest ???
>>>They are paid to play and not protest.

***If you want to protest for Social Justice , fine.......but do it on your own time!!!
>>>And on your own dime.

First why do we play the Anthem at games ?
You only pay them if you attend a game.
Our men and women who serve our Country, fight and die so we have the right to protest and those players have the right to freely express their beliefs .
Politics is all it is.

No one is objecting to them protesting. They are objecting to them protesting when people are paying for a performance of the day and not for a protest.

Most people don't give a damn what these athletes care about. They are there for a competition and not their intimidation.

This nay explain why we play National Anthem at sporting events ......

That is a great story about the founding of the practice and it goes on everywhere now, around the world. If you can't stand at attention for a few minutes to reflect on the good things your country does for you, especially over paid athletes, then maybe you should go to some country where you can be proud of what your country does.

I'm proud of the good that my country does, and our military that defends us and dies for us, and I'll stand. I won't put up with those babies who would desecrate that moment for me and those that appreciate America.

I work nights, so watching live sports is out. What I do is record the Stanley Cup games and watch when I get home. So far, over 30000 covid tests and zero positives. Obviously, the NHL is doing something right in the bubble that the other sports can't duplicate. Watching Vegas and Dallas game 5. Both teams stood for both the American and Canadian national anthems.

If we can take their first amendment right to free speach away why can t they take our right to complain. With so much going on virus people out of work some dieing ,this is way down on my list.

I would rather have the NFL play "The Old Rugged Cross" . Those social justice dumboes could use a little religion with the real justice savior of the universal administering real justice, hopefully to them!!

They have a collective bargaining agreement that gives them rights while on the job, as long as their behavior doesn’t violate the contract they can behave as they feel appropriate. I find it odd that they play the anthem at sporting events at all. How many people go to work at a factory office or store, attend a film play or concert and stand for the National Anthem at every shift change or the start of an event?

I find it odd that everywhere I go I am bombarded with BLM propaganda. It is highly offensive to me and most Americans. This $hit must end!! Why are blacks so racist nowadays??

If I was to protest on my job, I would be fired. I used to watch sports to relax but now I have to be lectured too. I hope these protests get into the players pockets and then we will see how they feel. Why don’t they get off their ass and work in the off season for the cause if this is so important.

When you have a life, you don't need the NFL.

Nor do you need to sit in front of a TV watching a bunch of poorly educated muscle brained goobers playing games with balls.

When you actually have a life, you you don't waste your time with such low brow entertainment.

I am a football fan ... well, I used to be ... and I do not support this. However, their bosses are the NFL and their own leagues and individual organizations, so obviously if their employers deem it appropriate for them to act like spoiled little rich kids and try to lecture to the fans then it doesn't matter what the rest of us think. If we don't like it, which I do not, then we will not support the team. It is our choice.

It used to be enjoyable. It used to be a diversion. I'm told that, even if you skip the nonsense at the beginning of the game with the annoying attention placed on the players (if that team does not stay in the locker room) during the anthem, the studio guys who call the game discuss it and there are ads during the game placed by the NFL and other groups continuing with their "lecture" so there is no "waiting it out" or escaping it. Don't need that. I'm not guilty of anything and I choose not to be lectured by others in some pathetic attempt to force guilt upon me.

So my choice is to forget it altogether. And never will I purchase any item that will support the nfl or any of its leagues. If enough fans bow out because of this nonsense that the nfl sees a difference on their bottom line, then they'll probably change things. If not, then so be it. They can have it. I won't be lectured to.

If these guys really want to make a difference they can put their big bucks to work in communities where it can do some good. They are celebrities who have adoring fans of all races and are in the perfect position to go out into communities where there are problems and work to bring unity and better understanding of the issues. At the source. That's much more difficult, though. That takes time and effort. Taking a knee and putting a fist in the air while you're already there on the field to play a game ..... well, that's easy, isn't it?
I am a football fan ... well, I used to be ... and... (show quote)

Carry,

Much of what you express is being done.. first we must acknowledge that the situation has been created not by the players but by the owners.. that includes both money and the statements..

As for community involvement, K has raised millions of dollars for the issues involved. He has put the work in very well. Not just an expression on the side of the field but full time year round.. very strong man with with convictions..
