I am a football fan ... well, I used to be ... and I do not support this. However, their bosses are the NFL and their own leagues and individual organizations, so obviously if their employers deem it appropriate for them to act like spoiled little rich kids and try to lecture to the fans then it doesn't matter what the rest of us think. If we don't like it, which I do not, then we will not support the team. It is our choice.
It used to be enjoyable. It used to be a diversion. I'm told that, even if you skip the nonsense at the beginning of the game with the annoying attention placed on the players (if that team does not stay in the locker room) during the anthem, the studio guys who call the game discuss it and there are ads during the game placed by the NFL and other groups continuing with their "lecture" so there is no "waiting it out" or escaping it. Don't need that. I'm not guilty of anything and I choose not to be lectured by others in some pathetic attempt to force guilt upon me.
So my choice is to forget it altogether. And never will I purchase any item that will support the nfl or any of its leagues. If enough fans bow out because of this nonsense that the nfl sees a difference on their bottom line, then they'll probably change things. If not, then so be it. They can have it. I won't be lectured to.
If these guys really want to make a difference they can put their big bucks to work in communities where it can do some good. They are celebrities who have adoring fans of all races and are in the perfect position to go out into communities where there are problems and work to bring unity and better understanding of the issues. At the source. That's much more difficult, though. That takes time and effort. Taking a knee and putting a fist in the air while you're already there on the field to play a game ..... well, that's easy, isn't it?

Much of what you express is being done.. first we must acknowledge that the situation has been created not by the players but by the owners.. that includes both money and the statements..
As for community involvement, K has raised millions of dollars for the issues involved. He has put the work in very well. Not just an expression on the side of the field but full time year round.. very strong man with with convictions..
