GOP Registered Nearly 7 Times More New Voters In Battle Ground State Than Dems
Last updated Sep 12, 2020
Donald Trump won Pennsylvania in 2016 by a scant 44,000 votes out of 6 million cast. Democrats see Trump’s victory as a fluke, an anomaly. Trump was the first Republican to capture the state since 1996 and Democrats believed the state was trending in their direction.

So 2016 was a rude awakening for Democrats. You would think they’d redouble their efforts to recapture the state in 2020. Indeed, the national party has been pouring staffers and money into the state, vowing not to repeat Hillary Clinton’s mistake of taking Pennsylvania for granted the last two weeks of the campaign.

But Republicans have not been standing still and resting on their laurels. And since 2016, despite the best efforts of Democrats, Republicans have registered seven times more voters than the opposition.

Politico:

The GOP has added almost 198,000 registered voters to the books compared to this time four years ago, whereas Democrats have gained an extra 29,000. Though Democrats still outnumber Republicans by about 750,000 voters in the state, the GOP has seized on their uptick in party members as a sign that Trump is on track to win this critical Rust Belt swing state a second time.

“It’s one of the reasons why I am very bullish on Donald Trump’s prospects in Pennsylvania. I think he will win again, and I think he will win by more votes than he did in 2016,” said Charlie Gerow, a Harrisburg-based Republican strategist who has worked on presidential campaigns in the state. “Trump is doing what Ronald Reagan did 40 years ago, which is moving a lot of traditional Democrats into the Republican column.”

Overall, registered Democrats now make up 47 percent of voters, down from 49 percent in 2016. GOP registrants have increased from 38 to 39 percent. That’s a lot of movement in a state Trump won by less than 1 percent in 2016.

The impetus for this surge in GOP registrations is unquestionably Donald Trump.

“It’s Trump, Trump, Trump,” said Gloria Lee Snover, chair of the Northampton County Republican Party. When she has signed up voters, she added, “They’re like, ‘Oh, I want to be in the Trump party.’ It’s kind of funny. … I’m like, ‘You mean the Republican Party?’ They’re like, ‘Oh, yeah.’”

Democrats are unconcerned. It appears they’re overconfident — again.

They view the numbers as a lagging indicator that distracts from other strengths the party has with new voters and independents in the state. The biggest shift in Pennsylvania in recent years, they said, has been Democrats making electoral gains since 2016, particularly in the suburbs.

“It probably means less than meets the eye,” said J.J. Balaban, a Democratic consultant in Pennsylvania. “There’s reason to believe the shift is mostly ‘Democrats’ who haven’t been voting for Democrats for a long time, choosing to re-register as Republican.”

“Democrats who haven’t been voting for Democrats” now registered Republicans? I’d say that’s whistling past the graveyard. There’s a reason they’re not Democrats anymore and ignoring that reason will lead to a Trump victory in the state in November.

While the Democrats' disciples spend all their time attacking Trump, when you really look at it their arguments about his accomplishments and policies are just baseless hot air and they know it, so the only point of attack they have centers around slandering his character and his personal life, or dredging up scandals from long before he ever ran for POTUS.

The Democratic Party, however, seems to be totally clueless as to how far out of bounds they've gone over the last four years -- out of bounds where the actual sensibilities of the American people are concerned.

Between relentlessly hammering the president with purely political rhetoric, slandering him, inventing outrageous charges to "investigate" him over, an ill conceived and publicly unpopular impeachment proceeding, flatly refusing to work with him or even acknowledge his 2016 election and embracing left wing movements that have spawned the chaos we see in Democrat run cities and promoting far left policies that most Americans want no part of, they have been "progressively" committing political suicide.

Our elected leaders are supposed to be smart, but these people can't even see how out of touch they are with rank and file Americans so they continue to do as they're doing, each time they open their mouths, bottleneck highly necessary and time sensitive legislation or lie to the American people about something that the people can see with their own eyes is a lie chasing still more votes over to Trump and the Republicans.

If the consequences of a Biden/Harris win or a continued Democrat House majority weren't so foreboding where the future of our Constitutional republic is concerned, watching the means by which the Democrats are self destructing would be akin to watching good slapstick comedy.

I wonder who will pay for it? As both California and New York are discovering, wealthy and well-to-do people leave when it is no longer profitable to stay. So when half the US population is 'on the dole' in one form or another, welfare, medicaid, basic living allocation, whatever, who exactly are they going to tax? It sure won't be themselves!

I wonder about that, too. Not sure they think that far ahead. Even if they tax the hell out of the rich (except for themselves) and corporations, they'll still run out. They'll probably turn to their friends, the Chinese, and get us in deeper there. China would end up owning us before biden's first term is over. Gotta stop these idiots.

Wasn't it Margaret Thatcher who said that if something can eventually run out, it does?

What makes the left think Biden will fix things now?
For 47 years he enriched his family and was for things that hurt the citizens of the USA.
He did nothing positive.

The far left backers who today own the Democrats -- bought them -- also control the media and have turned our schools into indoctrination centers, and have accelerated their propaganda efforts so that millions of Americans who rely on the mainstream media for "news and information" and K-12 and University students who don't go "off the grid" in search of the truth are bombarded with an entire different system of "logic," a system that's like a parallel universe to reality.

The education system doesn't teach about all the uniformly past failures of socialism or the misery it has caused, instead they sugar coat it and slide it in as "the norm," just as they portray 244 years of American tradition as Johnny come lately while they infer their dogmas to be "the way America has always thought."

They've had over a century of practice at this and have it down to a science, so much so that none of those they dupe even thinks to ask, "well if America has always been a racist enterprise, and what the left preaches is "normal" for Americans, then wouldn't that mean the left are the racists?

Or to ask something even more to the point, like, "If we keep taking more and more money away from those who have it and giving it to those who don't, why should the "haves" bother sticking around? Or "what happens when we've taken all the money away from the "haves?" Where will we get more? Or "if the "haves" use their profits to create jobs for the "have nots" and we keep on taking away large amounts of those profits, where will the money come from to create and maintain those jobs?"

A whole generation of non-critical thinkers is being cultivated by the left through our education system, devoid of any conception of cause and effect and human nature.

When I see posts by lefties who did have the advantage of going through the education system back in my generation spouting the same leftist bullshit one might expect from one of today's indoctrinees, the only thing that goes through my mind is "there's no fool like an old fool."

That's how they appeal to uneducated welfare careerists. There are a whole lot of them around, thanks to the "pioneering" efforts of LBJ's "Great Society" and its perpetuation by the Democratic Party, with the unwitting help of too many spineless Republicans who haven't regarded fighting as dirty as the Democrats do as "gentlemanly" enough for them.

I agree.
I hate that they are bombarded with propoganda in school.
I don't get the older people falling for it either.
I have two older sisters that have called me a traitor for not being lock step with Dems.
Their problem is they might watch 30 minutes of news and don't have a clue about what's going on.
