No one is saying he is protesting the anthem. He is being grossly disrespectful of all those Americans for whom this country and its symbology are significant. Why is that so hard for Liberals to understand?

I wonder what it is about the anthem that poor little Colin finds so distressing? The fact that it represents a country where Blacks have one of the highest standards of living in the world? A country where hundreds of thousands of white "oppressors" died in a war that was in large part about slavery? A country where unqualified Black students are admitted to universities in preference to more qualified Asian students because of their race?
I did my own survey of some Black vets that I served with. Every one of them opposed the kneeling, some of them pretty vehemently. For some strange reason, regardless of race, you don't find much support for disrespecting the flag and what it represents among military veterans.

I'm not surprised... And am willing to bet that there are lots if black immigrants who feel the same way...

Maybe the phrase "with liberty and justice for all" might seem a little hollow with police killing blacks. Or maybe "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happines". That perhaps some Americans need realize that for many Americans of color, race, sex, and sexual orientation, it's not always true. Does this clear it up for your pea brain buzzy? Or perhaps you need a friend to kneel on your throat for about 10 seconds to get the real effect?
