Why did President Trump make wearing a coronavirus mask a political issue by saying "he thinks some Americans are wearing masks to show they disapprove of him and not as a preventive measure during the pandemic"?
Trump turned this into a political issue when he blatantly underplayed the dangers of Covid-19, to the extent that he practically denied that there was any danger at all.

The reality of it is that over 126,000 Americans have died from it, and nearly 2.5 million Americans have been infected by the virus. Worse still, downplaying the dangers and the prevalence of the virus is likely to have contributed to a considerable number of both cases and deaths.

Unfortunately, it’s an election year, and Trump rested all of his re-election hopes on a strong and vibrant economy. Since the Covid-19 crisis and the consequential lockdowns have caused an economic downturn, Trump’s only hope of reviving the economy in time for it to be the defining metric of his Presidency is waning. This is why he’s continued to downplay the dangers, and why he now insists that there’s nothing to worry about, and everyone should go back to work. It’s got nothing to do with public health and safety, but rather, Trump’s desire to see the economy rebound purely so he can be re-elected.

Thus, anyone acting as though the virus is still a danger is clearly doing so to annoy Trump rather than to protect themselves and others: after all, the pathological liar has stated that there’s nothing to worry about. The only reason to wear a mask, then, is because you don’t approve of him.

This is what it means to live with a narcissist as President. Every action contrary to his will must be either treason or a form of protest. It’s all about him, and nothing to do with common sense, the health of the population, or the good of the United States.

Reality check: Corporate Enemedia sets aside coronavirus coverage, focuses on riots

According to the Media Research Center, while networks ABC, CBS and NBC – known as the “Big Three” – devoted nearly all of the airtime on their evening newscasts on the Wuhan coronavirus from early March to late May, they suddenly dropped their coverage on the pandemic in order to boost airtime for the spate of riots held across the country, before ramping up their coverage of the pandemic once more as the protests subsided

Trump and many of us saw through the conflicting information about this virus. In the US mortality is at 26/10,000 and going down. We have nearly 400 million people here. In the end, as we test more and more, the mortality will drop to H1N1 levels even before we have a vaccine, which we might never get.

It is you haters who turned the entire thing political, hoping it would be the thing to take down Trump. Your self-righteous attitude is hanging out of your unzipped pants! That, is your smiling face staring us all down.

Perm, I now see that you have both TDS and Trumpaphobia Syndrome. You now need to change your diapers every hour instead of every 2 hours. What brand do you favor? A friend of mine sells Pampers. I'll see if he can send you some complimentary samples. Stay dry. Moisture causes bacterial growth and causes a weakening of your immune system and T-cell count. We know that your cortex and many descending lower motor neuronal tracts have been compromised but look out for upper motor neuron disease. Bovine encephalopathy is nothing to play with and you are already not playing with a full deck. Let me know if you would like some of the symptoms of lower motor neuron diseases.
