No Leadership, No System, No Foresight, No Plan...coming Again to an Epidemic Near You

I am a Socialist Democrat. I am against Citizens United, gutting the Voting Right laws, gerrymandering in all forms by all parties and against the oppression of minorities and poor people. I am disgusted with the Cult of Trump, the clingers, the 2d Amendment terrorists who seek to intimidate, the selfish conceit of American indulgence and the dribble that comes from those who would, or who used to, go to a lynching for entertainment.
Although this is my first time here and my "introduction," I looked around a bit and saw plenty of the above mentioned players. I am sure their first response is the classic, "if you don't like it here, why don't you leave?"
My first response to that is that in my heart, (at 15 in 1965) I walked to Selma with Dr. King and others. I intend to follow that march by moving forward, not backwards and not "out." (I am, full disclosure, a white guy, now 70 and have always positioned myself to be for social, economic and political justice through the balanced democratic process...if not through the basic humanitarian constructs of the social contract.)
My second response is to look those who would suggest I leave, to look them in the eye for a long 2 seconds and tell them I would rather kick them out. This country fought a civil war brokered on Hate and Hate lost...for a time...and not completely it would seem.
The essence of that war has resurfaced with the "punch him in the face" candidate, Charlottesville's 'fine people,' the Russian asset candidate, the 'babies in cages' president (low cap p) and all the other evil characteristics that will be spelled out in time.
Russia wasn't a hoax anymore than the virus is. 100,000 deaths is not a "good number." Swabs and masks should not be for sale to the highest bidder. The coming vaccine...if it comes...should not be made by a company whose stock is publicly traded. Late night tweets shining a light on a very "unstable genius" should not be humiliating or degrading anyone. A Real President would not sink to gutter tactics or language.
But this is the "Me" on this website and I intend to use it in a way that leads to only one conclusion. If you don't like it, don't read it. If you do, please contribute to the conversation.

As an Evil Right Wing Bible Thumping Pro Donald J. Trump Republican, I welcome you to OPP. I am tempted to say more, but you have done a remarkable job of arguing both sides of the issues. Also you were great at making yourself win that argument with yourself. You sure told us Right Wingers.

and the stoning begins
As a fellow Texan, you should recognize when a line has been drawn in the sand!!! A few very brave men fought for freedom and the cry, Remember the Alamo, was born! Today we honor all those men and women who sacrificed their ALL for this country........and then there are those who are willing to give it away!

what is an ELWNJ?
The mirror image of an ERWNJ or the exact opposite?
Both are found in abundance on OPP

Extreme left wing nut job.

I noticed your notice that
"The height of stupidity is most clearly demonstrated by the individual who ridicules something he knows nothing about." You have just done an admirable job of that. Congratulations, tovarisch. You have shown yourself to be a poster child for gullibility.
