That ship has sailed..

trump killed that agreement, to reestablish any sort of international agreement would require much more trust in America then exists in the world of today..

why would any nation want to make any agreement which depends on trusting the United States..

We pull out of these agreements at the whim of the orange dufus in the oval office.

We leave war time allies to the mercy of opposing forces..

We belittle the agreements that have stood the test of time and vocalize the intent to drop them at any moment..

trump has killed the trust of the world for the United States..

done and gone..

The world is much safer with the elimination of that treaty, it was badly constructed & negotiated! Biden is just posturing and isn't capable of negotiating his way out of a paper bag!

Most countries in the world do trust us because they really have no other choice! Their sovereignty depends on us as they are weak militarily, that is the main reason how they can afford the "socialist welfare" in their countries, they don't pay for their own military!

Your chart reminds us of how strong our country is militarily! Knocking out any nuclear threat would be an easy chore, if we ever chose to do that...as long as we have a Republican administration!

Obama had us so weak militarily it was embarrassing. How does the greatest nation on Earth borrow parts from other planes which then makes them inoperable? Pathetic, but so was 8 years of bullshit....unless you cherish Marxism like some idiots on this site.

As much as barry hated it (and he did) we carried through. Embarrassing? It was closer to pathetic."Kil the enemy and take his weapon."

You are incredibly wrong Dee.. everyone but trump supported the agreement, it was working in all that it covered.. it was also a step one.. with a positive view of the future..

Now we are back in a hopeless situation of never ending struggle in the ME, and nothing positive to make more of.

Leadership??? None at all, we have been dropped from the leadership role we wore so proudly..

Europe outright rejected US President Donald Trump's vision of the world this week. Tensions between these historic democratic allies that have been simmering since Trump came to office three years ago have now come to a boil during the coronavirus pandemic.

Covid-19 has shocked the world by the speed of its spread, but it is also accelerating another global change in the balance of power -- and not in America's favor.
The extent of the divide became clear on Tuesday during a vote at the World Health Organization annual assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, backing Europe's conciliatory approach to China relating to an investigation into the outbreak. Power had visibly ebbed away from the United States as its demand for a tougher approach was dismissed, a move that should sound alarm bells in Washington.

Chief among these is the perennial, three-way battle for dominance between the US, Europe and China. Despite Trump's early hailing of Xi Jinping's handling of the pandemic, he has since blamed the Chinese President for covering up the early stages of China's outbreak. Beijing has consistently denied such accusations, and criticized the US approach to the pandemic.
Trump has also sought to blame the WHO for siding with China, and cut almost $500 million in funding to the United Nations body. He doubled down Monday telling the agency he will permanently pull US funding if it does not "commit to major substantive improvements in the next 30 days."
Despite deep concerns about China's handling of the pandemic, European leaders backed the WHO resolution calling for "a stepwise process of impartial independent and comprehensive evaluation, including using existing mechanisms, as appropriate to review experience gained and lessons learned" from the global response to Covid-19.

We are way over spending on the Military.. I am one who supports a strong military..but we have gone overboard on useless and foolish spending.

More spending would be better on domestic programs then on the military, on which we already spend more then the next 10 highest spenders in the world combined..

Now spin do not try to be stupid.. using cannibalized parts has long been a common tactic in the military..

I have done so myself..

Those planes you rant about were old discontinued and stripping parts off some so the few remaining could be used, was simple and common sense..

Our spending on Military is beyond any rational need..

We never at any time from WWll have had a Weak military..

No matter how you try, the closest to matching us was the soviet union during the cold war..
China got a huge and cheap step up when the purchased the old Soviet technology at pennies on the dollar on the collapse of the Soviet economy..

but no one matches us and clearly and for certain not in spending..

You do understand that China DID cover this virus up for weeks, allowing it to leave its borders but not travel through out their own country. The WHO did side with China and was complicit in believing what the CCP said. I have also believed, for at least 20 years, that the US should withdraw from the totally feckless UN.

Strange whim indeed. near 2 years of negotiations to make a done deal..

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA; Persian: برنامه جامع اقدام مشترک‎, romanized: barnāmeye jāme'e eqdāme moshtarak (برجام, BARJAM)),[5][6] known commonly as the Iran nuclear deal or Iran deal, is an agreement on the Iranian nuclear program reached in Vienna on July 14, 2015, between Iran and the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council—China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, United States—plus Germany)[a] together with the European Union.

Formal negotiations toward JCPOA began with the adoption of the Joint Plan of Action, an interim agreement signed between Iran and the P5+1 countries in November 2013. Iran and the P5+1 countries engaged in negotiations for the next 20 months and in April 2015 agreed on a framework for the final agreement. In July 2015 Iran and the P5+1 confirmed agreement on the plan along with the "Roadmap Agreement" between Iran and the IAEA.[9]
