Trump Administration Is Reversing Nearly 100 Environmental Rules

After three years in office, the Trump administration has dismantled most of the major climate and environmental policies the president promised to undo.

Calling the rules unnecessary and burdensome to the fossil fuel industry and other businesses, his administration has weakened Obama-era limits on planet-warming carbon dioxide emissions from power plants and from cars and trucks, and rolled back many more rules governing clean air, water and toxic chemicals. Several major reversals have been finalized in recent weeks as the country has struggled to contain the spread of the new coronavirus.

In all, a New York Times analysis, based on research from Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School and other sources, counts more than 60 environmental rules and regulations officially reversed, revoked or otherwise rolled back under Mr. Trump. An additional 34 rollbacks are still in progress.

Out of 100 rules, Trump wants to undo 98.

Here’s the Full List.

He was elected by what he promised he would do - and he's doing it.

And how many of the EPA rules are really needed? Remember the EPA rule that declared some intermittent streams are 'protected waterways'?

the removal of environmental rules has no redeeming value at all.. it only creates more money for the fossil fuel people while removing health and life protections for the average American..

Yes, everyone knew he intended to do this and yet the cult members voted for him regardless of the detriment effects on their own lives. basic right wing action..

Your talking about something you obviously know nothing about and supporting a person who knows even less.

They’re only protected waterways if they run through RepubliPIGs owned lands.
I don’t care if You want to drink water from Koch industries wells.
I don’t.
Trump said open the valves and let that poisonous crud kill what it can.
What happened to the milk if human kindness?
Who can’t see trump is a madman?
I’ve written before about the Cuyahoga River. Cleaned up finally. Both fishable and swim able with no consequences.
That really was a master fete.
And now let’s just forget about it!
If you are ok with that then tell me what is your point to being an American?
Why don’t you move to Somalia where there are no rules, no laws, no churches, no red lights, no nothing, your kind of place.

TRUMP SIGNS BILL PROTECTING MILLIONS OF ACRES OF PUBLIC LANDS
March 12, 2019
President Donald Trump signed a bill that provides protections to over two million acres of lands across the United States. The massive package was well-received by environmental groups, hunting and angling groups, and lawmakers from both parties; before Trump signed, it had easily passed in both the House and the Senate.
The package touches nearly every state, designating 1.3 million new acres of wilderness lands across several western states; creating new national monuments in Mississippi and Kentucky; and protecting hundreds of miles of rivers under the Wild and Scenic Rivers program. In addition, the bill guarantees authorization for the popular Land and Water Conservation Fund, a program that uses revenues from offshore oil and gas drilling to fund public lands and conservation efforts nationwide.

PRESIDENT TRUMP SIGNS BILL TO CLEAN UP OCEAN PLASTICS
October 12, 2018
President Trump called out other nations, including China and Japan, for “making our oceans into their landfills” when he signed legislation last week to improve efforts to clean up plastic trash from the world’s oceans.
“As president, I will continue to do everything I can to stop other nations from making our oceans into their landfills,” Trump said at a White House signing ceremony. “That’s why I’m please—very pleased, I must say—to put my signature on this important legislation.”
The law, passed with bipartisan support, amends the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Marine Debris Act and funds the program through 2022. The law fosters efforts to clean up plastic trash from the world’s oceans and encourages federal trade negotiators to prod “leaders of nations responsible for the majority of marine debris” to improve management of waste that ends up in the oceans.

Trump agreed with Democratic Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, one of the bill’s co-sponsors, that trade talks with the Philippines should include plastic waste. “We’re okay with that,” he said. “I understand. A lot comes from there.”
Trump also blamed other unnamed countries that “abuse the oceans” and whose trash floats to the West Coast of the United States,” creating, he said, “a very unfair situation.”
“It’s incredible. It’s incredible when you look at it,” Trump said. “People don’t realize it, but all the time we’re being inundated by debris from other countries.”
Comparatively, the beaches of the United States are among the world’s cleanest. Kamilo Beach in Hawaii, which faces the Pacific gyre, where ocean trash collects, is the exception. But most of the world’s plastic trash collects in coastal regions and on beaches in developing nations that lack adequate municipal waste collection systems.
Japan has had for years one of the world’s highest recycling rates and earlier this year, China stopped buying the world’s trash. The United States was one of the top sellers of recycled plastic to China.
The president’s full remarks are here, and the text of the Save Our Seas Act is here.

And then with all the reduction we’ve seen in people’s ability to fly, drive or work, we’ve enjoyed a bit of fresh air seeing places we haven’t seen in years. Yet this report suggests that even matters taken so far out and off course because we can’t do anything much really doesn’t change anything..how much BS is that???If what we have experienced thus far during this pandemic situation still hasn’t changed anything does that mean mother nature simply works out her own regardless of what we’re doing or not doing?

I think the real question is how much changes actually truly occurred since say the 1950s when climate change became hot. Or just look at it from when Clinton went into office in 1993 and the changes he started to initiate beyond any number of major taxation. Or look at what Obama done when he took office adding any number of regulatory control and rules and guidelines to follow?

Federal funding for climate change research, technology, international assistance, and adaptation has increased from $2.4 billion in 1993 to $11.6 billion in 2014, with an additional $26.1 billion for climate change programs and activities provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009.

With everything that has been done just exactly how much have we eliminated the alleged excess CO2 oh and don’t forget Methane that was added 2016?
All that has been done and there’s really no true changed anything? Seems to support mother nature is going to do with mother nature is going to do and our need for CO2 is it real need. We get all the hype over the world’s going to explode, it’s going to melt away, in 10 years we’re done or 12 years we are certainly done. We’ve been hearing that since Gore has been around and look at the money he’s made, absolutely amazing.
But that’s old news and irrelevant.

Thank God for President Donald John Trump!

Just one example of Emperor Obama's concept of Freedom:

In May of 2015, the Obama administration engaged in one of its more shocking and unacceptable power grabs with the EPA’s "Waters of the United States" rule.

According to the document, "Essentially, almost all fresh water, including that in “water-filled depressions,” is now under the federal government’s purview and subject to government oversight and regulation."

The scope of the rule was so over the top that it included, quite literally, rain puddles in one’s driveway or yard on one's own personal property.

In October of 2015, a federal court blocked the rule nationwide, and in January of 2017, the Supreme Court agreed to resolve jurisdictional wrangling over the rule, thus giving the Trump administration room to affect changes to or revoke the rule.

President Trump, clearly intent on keeping his campaign promises, decided to reverse this onerous overreach of the federal government entirely.

Cut the deficit in half in his first two years.
Balance the budget after his first year.
Put Hillary Clinton in jail
Cut taxes for the middle class nooooo he gave the upper 1% a 19% tax cut that exploded the deficit and increased income inequality from 65% to 87%.
Repealed the Clean air and water Act.
