I was USMC, 2/1, from 1966-1969.
10 or so miles north of Danang. Homey little place called Red Beach.

That was then, this is now. What we see now, is not what once was. Older, slower, I hope wiser, bones creak and muscles groan but heart and mind for this land and her people are still as strong.

Yes. I have a cap all red with yellow wording. "The best Marine is a submarine" Comment?

Actually. Our building maintenance rep is a former Marine. We yak lots. Also most of my email contacts are former Marines. Again, we yak lots. Good folks every one.
