It came as welcome news over here that he an Xi Jinping had spoken and started to mend ties... The news of the bill came mere hours later

I didn't mind if either... There are plenty of Chinese still calling it the Wuhan virus

True. I didn't mean he was pushing the bill either but you know how he sort of doubles down if someone goes up against him or contradicts him. The day after the press woman was so persistent in criticizing him for calling it the Chinese virus, the first thing he said when he came for the presser was: We're going to talk more about the "Chinese virus" today. In my opinion, that was a very petty issue brought up by the reporter.

A lot of the things by reporters are 'petty issues'. Think there might be a reason they do it? <sarcasm intended>

hahahahaha

Me too Canuck, I must move bout the place as I am deemed essential( many think otherwise, and I agree)....I love going to meetings where they like to group you up and then discuss Carona, then tell you not to group up The insanity of it all.....then the fools managing the meeting pass a clipboard around for a signature proving you were there.....future lawsuits I imagine..CYA as always.

But hey, Gas is a buck 62 a gallon....almost makes me wish I paid for my own fuel The funny part is....nobody can take advantage of since there is not really any place to go.

Fill up this morning at 1.64 in San Antonio. For some reason, the sky seemed bluer and the air fresher!

I had one of those once. Dad made me buy it to get to and from work in highschool from his banker buddy he needed a loan from. I wanted a used pickup. Three transmissions later I sold it. The worst car I've ever owned.

Yes, the transmissions were weak...OTOH, 2 guys could manually pull the motor and replace everything.....

I don't think any of my friends were motorheads and I sure wasn't and neither was dear old dad. The fuel pump on our 67 Impala went out, so dad said there are only two bolts so crawl under the car and put this new one in. So I did and it wouldn't go in and I felt around and there was a steel bar in the way, so I told dad who was standing beside the car giving me advice like he knew what he was talking about. Finally, he went and called his mechanic buddy and came back with a jar of petroleum jelly, said that bar will slide up and down, put some jelly on your finger so it will stick to the bar and slide it up, then smear enough jelly around to keep it in the up position and put the new one in. Problem solved in two minutes flat. I do know to check the fuses under the hood when the car just dies for no reason, and I can change my belts, filters, tires, oil, and flush the radiator and replace and gap spark plugs but that's about my limit. Every time I try and do much else it requires a special tool, which I don't own.

I quit doing my maintenance/repairs in the early 80's when the computers hit automobiles.

Not that many really care what she has to say. The media has propped her up.

One of the most despised. And for good reason. Her expiration date is long past as is McConnell’s and the rest of the career politicians.
