This is a capitalist nation and health care is a commodity not a right. Celebrity’s have millions as do the big wealthy corporations that depend on them to make billions. They can afford to buy their way to the front of the line, way ahead of firefighters, police and medics. If you don’t like it I suggest you move to Canada or Sweden where health care is a right, or do like me and millions of other Americans and fight to change things. I don’t know why you are outraged or surprised by this, you support politicians who are protecting this model.

The other point that many here are missing is that the best way to get a lid on this outbreak is universal testing and as quickly as possible. The WHO and CDC both say test, test, test. Why do you think that big pharma can produce hundreds of millions of viagra pills and not knock out enough of these tests for every one in the nation?

Why worry about a few thousand people who can afford to get tested get tested... Especially when you consider, these celebs may be in touch with even more people in a 24 hour day than "First Responders"...

It isn't so much the number of kits available, it's the number of labs and lab personnel available to process them. What we need is a rapid test, similar to those we now have for Influenza, that provide results on the spot. BTW, that would be 100 x cheaper as well.

Like the ones they have been using in Korea for weeks to get their epidemic under control. They can test 100 times as many people as we can here. Why do you think that is?

They have one that gives results in 45 minutes.

Hail Caesar! We who are about to die salute you! That poor misguided Police Chief didn't understand the need for the games to go on. The people don't need bread and comfort, they need the exhibitions. The gladiators will keep the minds of the populous away from the reality of life. Long live the games. Hail Caesar!
