Navy bean soup

With this virus has come shortages.--I was dumbfounded a few days ago when I looked for dry beans in the super markets and found no beans or rice on the shelves, Unreal--- Well last night I scored 3 packages of Navy beans. There are tons of diced tomatoes every where and bacon and onions are plentiful so I am gonna have some soup. Maybe not as exciting as Archie Bunkers 2-ply stew- but a lot tastier. Here it is-- cook down a small package of navy beans or a couple packages for more beans,-- add a couple cans of diced tomatoes or a couple more and as much diced onion and bacon as you want. cook it all down-salt and pepper to taste. serve with corn bread. Eat and eat till it is all gone.

I like the chili idea but I make it so the kids can eat it too. We are on shelter in place restrictions now. I can go to work and go home. We can shop or get to a doctor. --No going to visit or for a drive and if you are out after midnight you had better have an alibi. The penalty is 30 days in jail and a $1200 fine. I am taking this seriously. Staying clean is a problem in my line of work. I am now showering and changing between customers during the day and showering when I return home. My old skin is drying out. and my washer and dryer are working over time. I am not about to spread disease. Coos county where I live is the only county in Oregon without a reported case. I hope it stays that way.
