First off, I believe that the Seth books are the most fascinating, and, most important writings we people have--anywhere. Seth is a “channeled” being, through the late great author/psychic Jane Roberts. Seth’s voice is one that comes to us from outside this world, and, I seriously believe, from outside this universe. BECAUSE, the sense he makes is almost unnerving—calm, formal, non-hyperbolic, deep, utterly unique, Unbelievable, and beyond inspirational. This is why I say his books are as the modern day “burning bush” from the Bible. --PB

A Run-Away Primer to the “Seth Books”

“I am not a physical personality. Basically, however, neither are you.”
--“The Nature of Personal Reality,” by JR; pp. xix.

“All That Is (God) is the creator of individuality--not the means of its destruction.”
--“Seth Speaks,” by JR; pp. 363.

“I am an energy-personality essence, no longer focused in physical matter. As such, I am aware of some truths that many of you seem to have forgotten.” --SS; pp. 5.

“I can tell you, for example, that there is consciousness even within a nail… Nothing exists – neither rock, mineral, plant, animal, air – that is not filled with consciousness of its own kind.” --SS; 11.

“The soul is a traveler, …but it is also the creator of all experience, and of all destinations in your terms. It creates worlds as it goes, so to speak. Now, this is the true nature of the psychological being of which you are a part.” --SS, pp. 83.

You are a soul; you are a particular manifestation of a soul, and it is sheer nonsense to think that you must remain ignorant of the nature of your own being.”
--“Seth Speaks,” by Jane Roberts, Session 528, pp. 84.

“In the most cosmic and most minute ways, physical experience springs from inner reality. Events are initiated from within and then appear without.” --“The Nature of the Psyche,” by Jane Roberts; Session 790, pp. 159.

“You create the world that you know. You have been given perhaps the most awesome gift of all: the ability to project your thoughts outward into physical form.” --SS, pp. 6. [In prayer-like fashion.]

“While all this sounds difficult in the telling, it becomes much more clear intuitively when you learn to experience what you are; for if you cannot travel inside your physical body, to find your identity, you can travel through your psychological self.
“There are far more wonders to perceive through an inward exploration than you can possibly believe, until you begin such a journey for yourself.”
--“Seth Speaks,” by Jane Roberts, Session 528, pp. 84.

“You have so divorced your waking and dreaming experience that it seems you have separate “lives”, and that there is little connection between your waking and dreaming hours. The rich tapestry of probable actions from which you choose your official life becomes just as invisible. This is quite needless.”
--“The Unknown Reality, Vol. 1”, by Jane Roberts; pg. 202.

“To some extent your dreaming state is a connective between the kind of life you recognize, and this far vaster [spiritual] dimension that is its source.” --NP; pp. 153.

“Religion per se…is always the external facade of inner reality. The primary spiritual existence alone gives meaning to the physical one.… The exterior religious dramas are of course imperfect representations of the ever-unfolding [i.e., changing, evolving] interior spiritual realities… In the most real terms, religion should include all of the pursuits of man in his search for the nature of meaning and truth. Spirituality cannot be some isolated, specialized activity or characteristic…
“Exterior religious dramas are important and valuable only to the extent that they faithfully reflect the nature of inner private spiritual existence…” --SS; 336-7.

“You only need repentance when you do not know joy. For within joy and within All That Is [God], there is only glory, consciousness, and song. There is only blessedness.” –Class,

“I am not speaking to you personally, Joseph (Rob, Jane’s husband, by his higher-self’s name), so much as I am emphasizing that the race at present identifies its individual being with highly limited concepts of the self. Those ideas are vigorously protected, and indeed must be understood and given honor even while attempts are made to expand them. (UR1; Session 692; pp. 157 - hardcover ed.).
“You fight against your own greater individuality, and the spacious dimensions of your own being, when you overprotect your ideas of selfhood by limiting the experience of the self. UR1; 158.
“Uniqueness, private experience, and individuality attain their dimensions of being and their true grandeur only when the inherent relationships among all elements of being are understood.” [Thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, dreams, reincarnational memories, etc.]

“The unknown reality: It cannot be expressed enough in the cozy terms of known knowledge, and so you must stretch your own imagination, rouse yourself from mental lethargy, and be bold enough to discard old dogmatic comfort blankets.
–-“The Unknown Reality, Vol. 2,” by Jane Roberts; pp. 488.

From, “The Unknown Reality, Vol.1;” by Jane Roberts; pp. xxx.
“Historically speaking, mankind chose a certain line of development. In it his consciousness specialized, focusing upon sharp particulars of experience. But inherent always, psychologically and biologically, there has been the possibility of a change in that pattern, an alteration that would effectively lift the race into another kind of weather.
“Such a development would, however, necessitate first of all a broadening of concepts about the self, and a greater understanding of human potential. Human consciousness is now at a stage where such a development is not only feasible, but necessary if the race is to achieve its greatest fulfillment.”

From, “The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events,” by Jane Roberts
“Initially there is a psychic contagion: Despair moves faster than a mosquito, or any outward carrier of a given disease. The mental state brings about the activation of a virus that is, in those terms, passive.
“Despair may seem passive only because it feels that exterior action is hopeless—but its fires rage inwardly, and that kind of contagion can leap from bed to bed and from heart to heart. --INME; 20.
“Epidemics by their public nature speak of public problems—problems that sociologically threaten to sweep the individual to psychic disaster as the physical materialization does biologically. –INME; 21.
“There are even deeper biological connections with the heart of nature. You are biological creatures. Your proud human consciousness rests on the vast ‘unconscious’ integrity of your physical being. …In terms of the species’ integrity your mental states are, then, highly important. Despair and apathy is a biological ‘enemy’. Social conditions, political states, economic policies, and even religious or philosophical frameworks that foster such mental states, bring about a biological retaliation. They act like fire applied to a plant.
“The epidemics then serve many purposes—warning that certain conditions will not be tolerated. There is a ‘biological outrage’ that will be continually expressed until conditions have changed. --INME; 21.

“Either we are victims in an unfeeling, unsensing, dumb, chaotic universe, and everything is the result of chance or accident; or we are masters of our fate. There is no in-between.” --Jane Roberts: The San Francisco Interview

“Jane Robert’s experience to some extent hints at the MULTI-DIMENSIONAL nature of the human psyche and gives clues as to the abilities that lie within each individual. These are part of your racial heritage. They give notice of psychic bridges connecting the known and “unknown” realities in which you dwell.”
--“The Unknown Reality, Vol. 1,” by Jane Roberts; Preface, pp. xxx.

“You are not stuck in time like a fly in a closed bottle, whose wings are therefore useless… You are sometimes wiser, more creative, and far more knowledgeable when you are dreaming than when you are awake.” --“Seth Speaks,” by JR; pg. 5.

Seth is a demon.

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (NASB)
For even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

I read the Seth works probably 30 years ago. There are a few bodies of work that are very inspirational (of course the bible being one)😊 that will open your spirit to higher truths. Don't let anyone dissuade you or belittle you. Your own guidance will ring the bell if something is off. Just always be sure to see these works as information on your journey and not the end all be all.

I'm sorry debeda but I STRONGLY disagree. Your OWN guidance?! How about the guidance of the Holy Spirit?

I read the Urantia Book 30 years ago and was SURE it was "truth" at the time so my own guidance didn't ring the bell. I came to find out, just like Seth Speaks, that it is nothing but lies mixed with truth. But the Holy Spirit doesn't do that...

1 John 2:27 (NLT)
But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.

Your own guidance COMES from the holy spirit. We are all loved, each and every one of us, by God. A search for God, and developing our own spiritual being (which eventually brings us to God, no matter the sincere path). The only guidelines are A. Spiritualality is NOT magic. I.e. loving and worshiping God does NOT guarantee worldly riches, and any religion/system that proclaims same is wrong. B. The path to deep abiding faith is often wrought with byroads, and doubts. C. Each person's path is both individual and universal.
When we are taught by a system that proclaims "my way is the only way" that is about control, not truth. Jesus said we will only receive God through his teachings. If the things taught in many ways are indeed the same teachings as Jesus', this does not run counter.

A typical lie of an "ascended master," or demon, such as Seth. Sounds good but it's a lie from the pit of Hell. Only God can project His thoughts into physical form.

“You create the world that you know. You have been given perhaps the most awesome gift of all: the ability to project your thoughts outward into physical form.” --SS, pp. 6. [In prayer-like fashion.]

What you say sounds pretty New Age to me. And I should know. I used to be heavily involved in it.

As do you. I just need to warn you that you're on the broad way that leads to destruction.

[Jesus said:] "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." Matthew 7:13-14

I'll be praying for you.

This sounds like Process or Progressive theology. An old, old false doctrine.

I looked into this a while back. Seth is a demon and of that there is no doubt. Please do not let yourself be fooled.

I did a quick search and here is some supporting info -

- The serpent said to the woman: "Did God really say, "You must not eat from any tree in the garden?" The serpent implied that God was keeping something wonderful from the woman. Seth says the same thing: "How can your soul have boundaries, for boundaries would enclose it and deny it freedom."

- The serpent said, "You will not surely die." Seth assures his readers, "There is no death as you think of it." The doctrine of reincarnation is accepted uncritically by many intelligent and educated adults in America today.

- The serpent said, "When you eat of it your eyes will be opened." Seth says: "There are other realities all about you, but you ignore their existence. Little by little you must wake up. My purpose is to open your inner eyes."

- The serpent said, "You will be like God, knowing good and evil." Seth says we are all incipient gods. He denies the existence of evil, claiming that everything is part of the greater good, regardless of appearances. He says, "Limited, dogmatic, or rigid concepts of good and evil can hold you back."

There is consciousness even within a nail! Really! Does it yell “Ouch” when someone hits it on it’s head?

I reviewed your User List and found a very interesting statement that could explain why you could possibly believe something this ridiculous! “Pot expands consciousness, and can reveal to us a more natural kind of spirituality. I would say that one experiences what it means to be a non-physical being, in a 3D world.”
You made this statement in 2017! Enjoyed lots of the good stuff for a little too long........perhaps?

I doubt that Seth will be that impressive when you finally meet him! He is a DEMON and very real! You will sincerely wish that it is only a dream!

For even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

Seth is a demon.

Didn't know it was a trial, all. I thought Peter was just sharing something he found interesting. All of the responses to this are really over the top. IMHO. Perhaps I'm also a demon

I don’t think you realize how serious this is. This is not a joking matter. To consort with a demon leads to eternal death unless you repent and turn away from such lusts.

James 1:14-15 (NASB)
But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

Sin always brings forth death. Every time. Sin will kill relationships. It will destroy happiness. It will ruin health. How can I tell you how serious sin is and what sin does? The best thing I can do is take you to the Cross of Calvary and say, "Look at this wonderful, perfect, loving Person and see Him on the Cross in agony and pain and blood. It was when Jesus became sin for us that He died, for sin always brings death."

I believe that you should get down on your knees right now and repent and ask for forgiveness for making such a flippant statement!
