My wife just drew my attention to the news... It was FOX, but I didn't recognize which show...
They interviewed a young woman in Washington state who contacted the virus... She reported it on February 25 the and didn't get her results back until earlier this week... A two week period...
Regardless... That's not my point...
They went on to report that there are 457 cases in Washington State with 31 deaths to date...
That's a 7% mortality rate... Which is more than twice the rate the rest of the world is experiencing...
Which leads to two possibilities..
1. The American healthcare system sucks..
2. There are more than twice the number of infected people than is being reported...
The first is a possibility...
But the second is frightening...
Quit your bickering and pull together...
No more of this bullshit trying to sneak crap into bills meant to fight the coronavirus...
No more idiotic finger pointing at Trump or Obama...
No more...
My prayers for all... God bless...

From Tara Servatius....
PLEASE DON'T PANIC ABOUT CORONA VIRUS. IT HAS BEEN CIRCULATING IN THE US SINCE NOVEMBER ... with no statistically noticeable effects on the country. For 2 months before the Trump travel ban, while the Chinese hid it, 1 million Chinese flew directly to the United States from China in December and February at a rate of 15,000-22,000 a day, including from infected areas. That doesn't even count those who flew in November. And ... no overwhelmed hospital system. No overall spike in death rates. Our virologists didn't even notice it. In fact, no one noticed any difference until the Chinese told worldwide media about it (or cued them to freak out about it.) So it has been with us since at least mid-November.
Meaning there's a huge central flaw in the media narrative because it essentially, at least psychologically, dates the beginning of Corona virus to the Chinese announcement in January and assumes an outward deadly spread from there. It's coming here OMG what do we do how many deaths will we see???
No, Corona virus has already been here and yes, our docs and scientists would have noticed a spike in deaths due to a mystery illness if it were going to be an unusually large mass fatality event. They didn't because there wasn't a statistically significant spike in deaths or routine illness this fall. Many of you have asked, well why is Italy so overrun? Italy is a 1st world country with a 3rd world health system. And it has tested more widely than we have. But let's look at the numbers. About 1,450 people there have died of Corona. They have a population of 60m. So that would translate to about 7,900 deaths in a country our size over the same period ... less than the flu has killed here in the US in the last 3 weeks ... and no where near the 500,000 to 1.5 million US deaths in the US the media was hysterically projecting this week. That's why Corona virus has escaped notice. Corona on top of the flu just looks like a more severe flu season than the year before, not a notable, widespread death event.
Now let's look at South Korea, a better health system and a better comparison. They are a country of 51 million people. They've had just 75 deaths and daily recoveries now exceed deaths, so they are at the tail end of Corona, as the US likely is. That death per population rate would produce 487 deaths here over the same period, given US population levels. Now do you see why no one noticed Corona was spreading here until the Chinese told us?
That said, if you are in a high-risk category, you should take the same precautions you would because we are in flu season. Both can kill. But otherwise, go about your life as you would. Yesterday, we went shopping, to church and to lunch. If you are healthy, you can feel comfortable doing the same.
