Okay...... No comical memes or biased opinions from me here.

Here's something that people may want to read:
From Tara Servatius....

PLEASE DON'T PANIC ABOUT CORONA VIRUS. IT HAS BEEN CIRCULATING IN THE US SINCE NOVEMBER ... with no statistically noticeable effects on the country. For 2 months before the Trump travel ban, while the Chinese hid it, 1 million Chinese flew directly to the United States from China in December and February at a rate of 15,000-22,000 a day, including from infected areas. That doesn't even count those who flew in November. And ... no overwhelmed hospital system. No overall spike in death rates. Our virologists didn't even notice it. In fact, no one noticed any difference until the Chinese told worldwide media about it (or cued them to freak out about it.) So it has been with us since at least mid-November.
Meaning there's a huge central flaw in the media narrative because it essentially, at least psychologically, dates the beginning of Corona virus to the Chinese announcement in January and assumes an outward deadly spread from there. It's coming here OMG what do we do how many deaths will we see???
No, Corona virus has already been here and yes, our docs and scientists would have noticed a spike in deaths due to a mystery illness if it were going to be an unusually large mass fatality event. They didn't because there wasn't a statistically significant spike in deaths or routine illness this fall. Many of you have asked, well why is Italy so overrun? Italy is a 1st world country with a 3rd world health system. And it has tested more widely than we have. But let's look at the numbers. About 1,450 people there have died of Corona. They have a population of 60m. So that would translate to about 7,900 deaths in a country our size over the same period ... less than the flu has killed here in the US in the last 3 weeks ... and no where near the 500,000 to 1.5 million US deaths in the US the media was hysterically projecting this week. That's why Corona virus has escaped notice. Corona on top of the flu just looks like a more severe flu season than the year before, not a notable, widespread death event.
Now let's look at South Korea, a better health system and a better comparison. They are a country of 51 million people. They've had just 75 deaths and daily recoveries now exceed deaths, so they are at the tail end of Corona, as the US likely is. That death per population rate would produce 487 deaths here over the same period, given US population levels. Now do you see why no one noticed Corona was spreading here until the Chinese told us?
That said, if you are in a high-risk category, you should take the same precautions you would because we are in flu season. Both can kill. But otherwise, go about your life as you would. Yesterday, we went shopping, to church and to lunch. If you are healthy, you can feel comfortable doing the same.

Joe Biden has my vote as soon as he needs it..

Oh, I already did vote for him in the Minnesota primary... My girl Amy said it was a good thing so I did it and i'm glad..

Who did you vote for in you primary???? or did they not have one?

Did the orange mystic run unopposed? He did in Minnesota..

Our Supreme Court said the Republicans could have a ballot with no oppositions as the new law was written, recommended that a new law was needed and to get it done as intended..

Do you think trump will get on the stage with Joe Biden??

Such a debate ? only the name would call it that.. a hate fest by one and only the fact from Joe..

done before it starts..

Hey, CD. What's wrong with us people?

Rugged individualism for the poor and disenfranchised; socialism and corporate bailouts for the corporations and oligarchy, with tax breaks for the wealthy maintaining the balance. Poorly funded and legislatively tenuous promises of more future government programs to address problems for folks while telling them its their own damn fault, whatever it was or is. Poverty, food insecurity, abysmal access to healthcare and education have many stunned and silent, quietly pecking with both thumbs or swiping with an index finger at amusing or intoxicating apps on phone screens.

For more than half of Americans who have the gas to travel, it doesn't even matter where they might go if they were to be so lucky as to have a vacation, as they would only sit quietly and play with their phones all day anyway.

We doodily, doodily, do,
What we muddily, muddily must,
Til we bodily, bodily bust!

SAD.

The same tire meme, Trump had both the House and the Senate and couldn't get done x, y or z. Gosh and I always thought we had 100 senators.. what is half of 100?

Half of 100 is 50. 51 votes needed for some things, 60 for others. The Senate during Trump's first term had 51 Republican senators, 5 of whom opposed most important things. Whenever 2 or more of these 5 RINOs voted against Trump, Trump would lose by at least 51-49. Got it?

We have no idea if any of the numbers of the infected and deaths given by any other country are accurate.

Funny thing about diseases, they spread. Without access to care, people get sick and just get on with their lives sharing with everyone. Gosh, our system is working great. 😒

That's one aspect of it....

My hometown and surrounding communities are preparing for the outbreak... We suffer from a severe lack of health professionals and equipment... Of it hits them it will be brutal...

But the larger cities appear safe for now...

Bear in mind that at the time that 41 deaths were reported in the US, 25 of them occurred in one nursing home.
