Perhaps “as in the days of Noe” but not the vials/seals of Jacobs trouble. Replacement theology is not truth, followers of Jesus won’t endure wrath, not that wrath anyway. But the picture you paint is real and as everyone since the cross thought, the end is near.
It will come suddenly “for in that day”.
Even so come.

Multiple reasons.

One thing of note: In Italy, where more than 9,000 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19, doctors are prioritizing the young and otherwise healthy patients over the older people who are less likely to recover.

A NYC medical ethicist told Insider the medical community in the US would also have to make decisions about who to prioritize if hospitals become overwhelmed.
Choosing patients simply based on their age, however, "would not fly," he said.

25 of the death totals came from one nursing home. Over half the US deaths are from Washington State and Mexifornia.

Our heath system does not suck. But, in places where there is a high homeless rate, like Washington and California, many illnesses go unreported. You may notice that states with sanctuary cities will have a few things in common; homelessness, higher unemployment, drug abuse, deaths from unknown pathogens, and disease that include a wide range of bacteria and virus.

To solve the problem, those cities need to stop using illegals, clinically insane, or other homeless people as propaganda machines for elections. If they are going to declare themselves as a sanctuary then they must find in their own budget safety nets that include housing, food, medical screening and treatment, and a method for obtaining meaningful employment. This is the only way forward for those cities. As it is, homeless people defecate on the streets, do not have facilities to bathe or wash clothing, and many do not wash even their hands. If they come in contact with a disease, they share it...not just with other homeless, but with well meaning people who give them money. Recall, the coronavirus can live for hours on stainless steel, imagine how long it can live on silver or paper money. That money, now contaminated, gives a dose of disease to storekeepers as the homeless infected buy their soda and beer, the shop keeper in turn shares it with customers as the contaminated money is given as change. Those people go home, sharing the disease with each individual they shake hands and reaching home, they share it with family and friends. Not everyone will get sick, some develop asymptomatic infection and becomes a Typhoid Mary.

Right now, those cities should be put under strict quarantine until the disease becomes manageable with pharmaceuticals or mutates into a form that average people can fight. In the meantime, get the homeless into more sanitary conditions.

The House seem to use every bill to get their pet legislation passed. I think bills should never have "add ons" or unrelated request for funding.

Good morning Penny,

You have a mix of valid and useless opinion this morning..

Yes, for a very long time, back to the 20th century we have been told how germ invested money is.. most germ packed item we touch near every day..

But you seem to have a very incorrect understanding of how and why Sanctuary cities came to be. and what they are about..

back to the days, the refusal was local law did not have the resources to do the job that was to be the responsibility of federal law men..

While very much of the offences were only misdemeanors and resulted in a $200 fine or so. the feds tended to leave the culprits in the local slammer rather then spend many $$ to collect the petty cash from the criminal.

So the local law said go to Heck.. and stopped doing the work of others.. that has evolved to what we have this day and place..

And yes, we all detest the act of adding to a must pass bill. done at every level from township to federal.

but, how much do you shout when the Republicans do the same? It is far from a one side action..

Yep,
chip us so they can deduct funds from our cashless accounts anytime they want.

No end to what the 'gubment' can do to us.

Then why are democrats and other doctors and nation leaders praising Trump'd administration for being the best prepared in the world?

Max,

Where did you ever find any mention of trump being praised, by anyone other then the orange cult????

ONE--trump sees this as a PR and political event, a plot against his reelection.. His effort to make it a none issue is well documented on tape.. many times..

TWO--trump fired the very people/organization which was needed to fight this and another pandemic event..

THREE--Much of his attempted funding is also furthering the "starve the beast" strategy we see with nearly every domestic program..

FOUR--Neither trump nor the republican party, such as it exists today, has any interest at all in the health of the public.. the end game is for the removal of all public health programs for the public.. damn the unwashed rabble and let them find there own..

rather than try and hide the virus, like Italy, any sound leader would have emulated South Korea and had millions of tests and facilities ready to take on the task..

and who pretend trump has done even a halfast job on this , or anything of value should be ashamed of themselves and the total lack of values..

The trump/republican idea of unification is to only do it their way.. no compromise by republicans ever...
A fast look at McConnell actions proves that beyond any doubt what so ever..

I refuse to use cashless payments unless there is no way around it. Cashless means more government control and if the sheepie are smart (which they aren't) they would pay mostly with cash to stay away from big government control. I cringe when I see folks whipping out their credit card for a $.50 cent transaction.

good morning Larry,,

Your fear is familiar.. when I retired both the SS and my Pension came in check form to my mail box.. they after only a few months of that, both sent notice that direct deposit would be the new norm..

Wow, for the first few times, I bugged the bank over and over on the arrival time of my money..

But I got used to it and now find it mostly so very convenient i wonder why I did not want to do it..

As for that credit card for a 50 cent purchase,,, it more then likely is a debit card, connected to an account so it is like paying cash..

And yes, I have read much about the evils and fear of plastic currency..

While some may not like it, we will have it for all or nearly all..

It is much cheaper for banks and other money mongers to deal in the cloud rather then actual physical money in hand..

Allow me to put some perspective on this. Maybe some finger pointing is necessary.

In early 2009, the Swine flu outbreak in Mexico spread into the US (Go figure). Here is a brief look at that pandemic:

1. The flu strain responsible for the outbreak — influenza A (H1N1)pdm09 — originated in Mexico and was first detected in America in April 2009.

2. The strain represented a unique combination of influenza viruses never before seen in humans or animals.

3. The virus quickly spread globally, primarily affecting children and adults under 65 who lacked immunity to H1N1.

4. The WHO declared the swine flu outbreak a pandemic on June 11, 2009.

5. Between April 12, 2009, and April 10, 2010, the CDC estimates swine flu caused 60.8 million illnesses (1/5th of the US population), 273,304 hospitalizations and 12,469 deaths in the U.S.

6. On Oct. 5, 2009, the U.S. began administering a newly approved H1N1 vaccine to select Americans - pregnant women, people who live with or care for babies under six months old, children six months to four years old and health-care workers. Vaccination coverage expanded nationwide by that December.

7. WHO declared an end to the pandemic on Aug. 10, 2010.

8. Globally, an estimated 151,700 to 575,400 people died from swine flu in the first year of the pandemic. It is estimated that 11–21% of the then global population (of about 6.8 billion), or around 700 million–1.4 billion people, contracted the illness.

Six months after the swine flu first appeared in the United States, on October 24, 2009, President Obama declared swine flu a national emergency.

The media (and politicians) treated the swine flu pandemic like it was a bad case of fleas. They issued warnings and instructions, but left out the fear mongering and the POLITICS.

Currently, CDC, WHO and Johns Hopkins CSSE are reporting just over 150,000 cases of Coronavirus infections world wide. 74,000 have fully recovered and there are currently around 5900 deaths.

No doubt COVID-19 is a serious matter, no doubt it will spread before it either runs its course or is stopped by an effective vaccine, but the spread of this thing has less to do with its virulence than with the political polarization that now exists.

There are many among us, some here on OPP, who actually hope this coronavirus will be so devastating that it will be the final nail in president Trump's coffin. The American left has once again found themselves a political weapon. They absolutely love victims as political pawns. In the long term, the Viral Hatred for one man is far more dangerous to our way of life than is a virus that can eventually be beaten.

Pull together? That's a sweet pipe dream. We are no longer dealing with Republican/Democrat party policy differences, we are dealing with the forces of an ideological movement that is diametrically opposed to the founding principles of our American nation. No bridge has ever been built nor will ever be built that can span that abyss.

Canukus. I agree with you completely! I knew that I couldn't be the only one sick of all those using a terrible situation to hurt their political opponents. There was 1 good thing I heard about COVID. In church today, someone said that COVID is Christ Over Viruses and Infectious Disease! I loved that!
