Senator Feinstein and her husband stand to make a fortune, $1.1 BILLION

Senator Feinstein and her husband stand to make a fortune, estimated at between $950 million and $1.1 BILLION from these transactions!

THE TRUTH ABOUT FEINSTEIN

The US has entered into a contract with a real estate firm to sell 56 buildings that currently house U.S. Post Offices. All 56 were built, operated, and paid for by tax-paying American citizens. Now enjoy reading the rest: The government has decided it no longer needs these buildings, most of which are located on prime land in towns and cities across the country.

The sale of these properties will fetch about $19 billion!

A regular real estate commission will be paid to the company that was given the exclusive listing for handling the sales. That company is CRI and it belongs to a man named Richard Blum.

Richard Blum is the husband of Senator Dianne Feinstein! (Most voters and many of the government people who approved the deal have not made the connection between the two because they have different last names).

Senator Feinstein and her husband stand to make a fortune, estimated at between $950 million and $1.1 BILLION from these transactions!

His company is the sole real estate agent on the sale!

CRI will be making a minimum of 2% and as much as 6% commission on each and every sale. All of the properties that are being sold are all fully paid for. They were purchased with U.S. taxpayer's dollars.

The U.S.P.S. is allowed free and clear, tax-exempt use. The only cost to keep them open is the cost to actually keep the doors open and the heat and lights on. The United States Postal Service doesn't even have to pay county property taxes on these subject properties.

QUESTION? Would you put your house in foreclosure just because you couldn't afford to pay the electric bill?

Well, the folks in Washington have given the Post Office the OK to do it! Worse yet, most of the net proceeds of the sales will go back to the U.S.P.S, an organization that is so poorly managed that they have lost $117 billion dollars in the past 10 years!

No one in the mainstream media is even raising an eyebrow over the conflict of interest and on the possibility of corruption on the sale of billions of dollars worth of public assets.

How does a U.S. Senator from San Francisco manage to get away with organizing and lobbying such a sweet deal? Has our government become so elitist that they have no fear of oversight?
It's no mere coincidence that these two public service crooks have different last names; a feeble attempt at avoiding transparency in these types of transactions.

Just a minor correction: the Post Office has NOT lost all that money. They have not prepaid the pensions of current employees for 70 years ahead (something no other business or department is required to do so far as I know).

==================
That is about 6% commission of the $19 billion. To be exact Mr. Blum will get about $1.4 billion.
The 6% rate is about the average rate for Realtors all over the country. The problem is the influence that Senator Feinstein has over the UPS, a Federal Property. I think there is a problem here. It seems to me that Richard Blum, Feinstein's husband, has monopoly dealing with federal activities and transaction on real estate. It has also a deal with a $68 billion railway system.

The United Post Office has been losing business. Most of the shipment now go to the Internet paying bills, the Amazon has it own shipping of goods to customers. The UPS is also available. Most large companies now have its own shipping like the Drones, or trucking system to deliver large merchandise.

The sale of these Post Office buildings took place years ago, starting in 2011, under Obama's administration.

That makes it no less sleazy, but the local Post Office was among those sold. It was a beautiful limestone building, and was razed to the ground. There's a parking lot there now.

The new Post Office was converted from an out-of-business Ponderosa Restaurant, much smaller, poorly built and far less attractive, and a rotten deal for the tax-payers.

In July 2011, the Postal Service entered into an exclusive contract with the real estate firm CB Richard Ellis Group Inc. (CBRE) to sell surplus Postal Service properties. Blum, Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s husband, is the chairman of the company’s board of directors. As a member of the board of directors, he received $157,000 in cash and stock awards from CBRE Group in 2012. His investment firm, Blum Capital Partners, L.P., is also the real estate firm’s fifth largest institutional shareholder. As of May 2013, it held more than 15 million shares worth an estimated $3 billion. However, this amounts to about 4.5 percent of CBRE Group’s total shares. CBRE Group is the largest commercial real estate firm in the world. Its Postal Service contract is responsible for a fraction of that revenue, and just a fraction of that fraction is passed on to shareholders.

I wondered why Feinstein is the only big ticket California Democrat not running for President.
