Just about everything involves money.

The concern that a lot of people have is continued/increasing government involvement - do you understand all the ramifications of that?

And there is the issue.....perhaps instead of applying brakes we need to consider breaks, job creation comes when the rich invest in our nation.

Unfortunately, the rich tend to invest in themselves and not our nation.

and no, no it is not....they did that to my youngest over a dime..a freaking dime...they are the ones that did not send the account balance when it was low, I would toss a hundred bucks at it to spend as she wishes as an 8 yr old......they pulled her from line, told her she didn't have enough money in her account..and gave her a plain cheese sammich......my third daughter passing through that school, they have never been screwed out of that dime....what really pisses me off is...a paying lunch student gets a plain cheese sammich over a dime short......but free lunchers get the full on meal and seconds....cheese should be good enough for them....but it's not.

luckily my mother went and tore the lunch lady a new ass before I got there, she knows what I would have done in front of the entire school body...I would have had her job over that.

We can look at those tax incentives, where the wealthy simply took that tax break to reinvest in their own stock or company.

The TJCA changed the law such that profits are taxed only where earned. To facilitate the transition between the two systems, the TJCA offered a tax “holiday” on pre-2018 foreign profits at a reduced rate of 15.5% on liquid assets (and 8% percent on other assets). The underlying logic for the TCJA was that allowing companies to keep a greater share of profits, would stimulate investments in long term growth. Instead, the dominant company response to the TCJA was stock buybacks. For the first three quarters of 2018, buybacks were $583.4 billion (up up 52.6% from 2017). In contrast, aggregate capital investment increased 8.8% over 2017, while R&D investment growth at US public companies increased 12.5% over 2017 growth.

You mean the companies that provide what the public wants? And provides jobs for many people? And thus produces even more revenue in taxes? And the companies that devote more money to research to enhance their products?

Is that the companies you mean?

No excuses, is not very pragmatic...and no, we do not have the same chances when born, where did you get that utopian idea?

There are companies who do the right thing for which the tax incentive was created for, then there are those that don't, why should that be allowed, why should the tax break be exploited without consequence? Maybe if there were consequences they would avoid a substantial impactful penalty and actually reinvest back into the USA.

Our greatest power is our buying power and in order to make the needed changes we want to, think of our possibilities of what we can achieve if we actually received that reinvestment back into ourselves as a country ? Can you?

The same can be said about many government program. How would one discern those?

Sure can - you're starting to sound like a fiscal conservative.

Not as much of a concern as the control from monopolies, oligopolies that have surged, and without government control, we have no control over. As long as we keep our government's integrity to be run by the people and for the people, we have nothing to fear from the government.

I pay taxes also. I am used to paying taxes. I get services such as national defense- Veterans healthcare and social security in return. Perhaps just going to a national sales tax would ensure that every citizen had skin in the game.------

What it comes down to is, that many people who have children, should not, but that is not the child's fault. People don't want to socialize and the children's home placement program is poor, yet how can we improve the upbringing of the children in this category in order to create a nurturing healthy environment in order for the outcome to be that they become productive human beings?

That is a win-win scenario but we refuse to put the R&D into that, to enable us to move forward with it, yet our military spending grows every year. Maybe they would be satisfied if we just fast track those kids to the military, then... they would get something out of it and see it as their win-win. For them, it's all about military expansion.

One does not have to be a fiscal conservative, to be one. I'm an independent, the best thing we can do for ourselves is to stop labeling everyone along with the steadfast profiles, it's almost impossible to do today with these party polarizations but maybe then we can begin a dialog with each other without the stereotype baggage and we can stick to speaking with each other as the individuals that we are.

God wants us to work! He says to look at the ant! Welfare rats dont care about their children if they are able to work and choose to take drugs instead! Why would a food stamp program have to add a food a snap program for nourishing food? It’s because these people, lazy ones use the other money for cell phones, booze, etc, we should go back to the way welfare used to be; temporary, and a box of food that you had to prepare! Never meant to b a way of life! Or generational!!! Make it a pay it forward program, 6 months, then you get a job and pay it back to help someone else!!!

They should investigate the child’s home and find out why if it occurs regularly! Call the local church to help!
