Project much?
No, the republicans are disseminating messages to their base undermining our core values.
Erosion of core values is the opposite of the D's message. They hope to restore them.
What are your party's core values? I am not being factitious, I truly want to understand your point of view. When I ran an inquiry, I saw a repeat of the following, are these the values you inferred?
Democrats represent the working class over special interests and moneyed elites
Democrats believe health care is an economic and moral right
Democrats believe education, including college, is an economic right
Democrats believe that protecting the environment is essential to our future
Democrats advocate peace over military intervention, always
Democrats protect the civil liberties of all Americans, and especially stand up for the marginalized
If I analyze these, with an open mind, the first value does not seem very "American." Are we not considered "equal" under our Constitution? Did I miss the part that says "Except people who earn or inherit the wealth of a hard-working forefather?" If you took all the money from these people and redistributed to all others, then what separates the USA from Socialist or Communist countries? Are "special" interest groups absent from the Democrat's party?
Education as a right? Tax payers, especially the "elite" mentioned in the first value, fund K1 through grade 12. But if they disappear, who will fund school age children's education? As for college, is the reference to a baccalaureate, master, or PHDs? If you say all, then you are faced with types of degrees, underwater basket weaving or hard science, and at what point will we require individuals to have a degree for flipping burgers? What happens to those individuals who, face it, are not smart enough for college? Do they become the welfare cases of tomorrow...especially if a BA is required for flipping burgers?
Health care has always been provided in the USA. Okay, some "elective" procedures have not been available nation-wide such as liposuction, breast implants (unless you are gender confused and decide to appear as a woman), face lifts and the like, but basic health care has been provided for many years. I do understand the economic argument, but if you do away with the rich, then it become a mute point.
Peace over military? This raises an interesting observation, over our history, can you guess how many Democrat presidents have staved off war? Save you some time, zero. Since 1900, 35 conflicts have been launched by Republican administrations compared to 23 by Democrats, with 10 (out of 12) GOP presidents launching one or more conflicts, compared to 8 (out of 8) Democrats.
Democrats stand up for civil liberties...especially the marginalized. In modern times, especially the last few years, the most marginalized people in the USA are the white older males. That is fact. They are routinely discriminated against in the workforce and are scorned in private. Can we expect the Democrats to hold EO rallies for them, publicly denounce bad treatment, or put them on "preferred" admissions or job placement programs? Can we expect laws to be past to protect their rights?
The only "value" on this list I can get behind is the environment. Absolutely without question.
