Only excerpts from a person I do not know..

truth as one person see it..

right wingers will hate that..

Add to that the hypocrisy of a candidate who had won his gubernatorial bid on a recount fighting against a recount in the Presidential election. And add to that the hyper-partisanship of the GOP for embracing Bush and his opposition to counting votes, and I moved from the Republican camp to being an independent.

What I’ve learned since then is that the Republican party isn’t actually conservative. They spend more than Democrats. They waste more than Democrats. They value life less. They value our natural resources less. And the landmark Supreme Court decisions that the Republicans most criticize (abortion, taking prayer out of schools, and same sex marriage) were all decided by courts with a majority of Republican-appointed justices.

In short, you don’t learn what’s really going on in the world if you’re only consuming news that caters to your political bend. So yes, as a conservative you should listen to more news. You should listen to more diverse news. Then you should research it and see what your news sources aren’t telling you.

Which made his point perfectly.

Years ago, I played Trombone in a small orchestra, another T bone player was always out of tune. I finally asked him why he couldn't seem to tune to the rest of the players and he said " I can't listen to all those other instruments, they confuse me". When I asked what he used to tune his instrument, he said " I use the tone in my head ". He was happy tuning to his self generated tone and ignoring what everyone else was tuning to. I promise you, if a single instrument is out of tune, it ruins the whole piece.

How many sham conservatives does it take to ruin the entire GOP? How many folks, from both sides, are happy to tune their lives ( and demand that everyone else do so as well ) to the ideological tones in their own heads?

So what about a conservative (or libertarian) who gets news from many resources - conservative, liberal, and independent - evaluates it, and still remains conservative?

You people never accept any thing not glorifying the orange cult leader that slithers in the oval office..
It is fish wrap media or nothing..

If you accepted nothing you would know more then when you echo back the cage liner which your alt-media tells you to accept..

IOW, you have no response except a hodge -podge of insults - typical liberal response....
