Thoughts - Economy versus Security?

China is calling for facyories and businesses to reopen, pending the nod from local health authorities...

This is due to an eight day drop in the in the number of infections in the nation...

These numbers are not including Hubei province... And the factories and businesses in Hubei province will remain closed...

Is this too soon?

Personally, I'm not affected, as the semester doesn't start until March... But it would be nice to see the economy get back on track...

Appreciate all comments

For the US, at this time in history, economy=security. Don't doubt it for a moment.

Two thoughts, first if precautions are taken to minimize further infections, as it is impossible to prevent all outbreaks, I do not see a compelling reason to continue with the closures. My second thought, virus mutate as our body produces immunities. This virus will decline as more people come in contact with it....and the next time a similar virus is introduced, most individuals in your area will have some immunity. The only reason a virus spreads quickly is the "isolation" factor, which is the same reason that school kids get sick at the start of the year. Cooties picked up during school breaks while traveling is introduced into a virgin eco system, ergo can flourish until immunities are naturally made by our body.

Having said this, there are those who have compromised immune system; not yet developed in very young children and of course the elderly. These people should take extra precautions to avoid contact with infected. When a vaccine is developed, they should be first in line. I recall my mother deliberately exposing me to childhood diseases such as measles and the flu in hopes I would get a mild case. Never worked out, I must have a strong system because, even without vaccines, I rarely got/get sick....

Kyle I wonder who gets the more accurate information on the coronavirus you or the outside world? China's own admission says you've got real trouble and it's still growing. Entire cruise ships are in quarantined. The stock market got a major his but bounced back and there is a huge locus epidemic of biblical proportion in eastern Africa. We can still take comfort that God is in His heavens so all is well.

I have made this argument on a few different circles... And on an ESL forum... But the fear over here is palpable...

Chuckle... My mother made sure we got the chicken pox as kids... The flu was seen as part of the school year...

Hope your immune system is still going strong

Me too. I've been sick once in 20 years. I think my system eats west nile and hanta virus.

I got shingles about a year ago but it was very mild. Took me 5 days to figure out I had them.

In the general sense, yes. I'm speaking more specifically to this time, though.

Globally, the fiat currency system has been at the breaking point for a while and it looks to me like Trump plans on making it go BOOM!

The central banksters need a world war to reset the system and the Bible says they'll have one.

We need to be armed up and that takes money.
