Of course not. They also shouldn't be forced to accept the pay labor unions provide, nor the benefits, nor the cost of living raises, nor any of the other benefits labor unions provide.

My suggestion if you want nothing to do with unions then find nonunion work somewhere and enjoy the wondrous benefits of working where you are at the mercy of management. Enjoy!

Absolutely NO! In addition to trying to change the gun laws in Virginia the newly elected demoncrat house is going to vote on removing RIGHT to WORK in the State. They are going to make it AGAINST the LAW to criticize govt. officials, a felony, no less. The birth place of our Nation is being run amok.

I hope the rest of the Country is seeing what you'll get if demoncrat majorities are elected throughout the Country, whether it is local cities, counties or states. They have no concern for the individuals but rather for their own power. They do nothing to improve the lives of the districts they over see except to make sure their lives are hugely improved. I am sick to death of being a Virginian right now. November 2020 will be a huge time for the future of our Country in more than just one way.

Don't anyone of you sit home on November 3 of I'll hate you forever. GOD BLESS you all. Mike

When I worked for the RR I had to join the Union. They screwed me royal after taking 3 years of dues I didn't want to pay but had to. You can shove Unions where the sun doesn't shine. Unions are pretty much the same as the Mafia! Mike

Peter S. I usually did better in the private sector because I used my skills to campaign for what I thought was a fair wage and bennies for what I was going to provide to the employer. Unions allow people who didn't apply themselves to learn skills to be employed at the cost of the employer and their customers. Mike

Why can't you just do the job without joining a union? The union didn't create the company, they're just supposed to help the workers without coercion. But they don't seem to be able to do that. Some people have been trying to exit the unions for years, but the unions still steal their money. When they do that, they are no better than thieves.

My father-in-law started with the Santa Fe and was bought out a millionaire at 45 with the merger. My brother-in-law just retired from the Burlington Northern with enough pension to live any life he and his wife want to live. All of this was because of a union you describe as a mafia.

The middle class of this country was created by unions. The last 30 years, when wages have stagnated, is because of the destruction of unions in this country by right-wing forces. It was this lack of unions that caused the lack of upward pressure on wages they provided. Sometimes the only way management will listen to workers if they are mafia. But if you don't want to work with a union then you should work in a non-union shop--I don't agree with people being forced to join a union. At the same time if you don't want to be in a union you don't deserve the wages, benefits, or the upward pressure on real wages they provide. While most of the American workers saw their wages stagnate my inlaws saw their wages stay well ahead of the cost of living curve. Why? Because of unions!
