In N.Y. he somehow managed to buy a third term as mayor, but he's out of his league in the presidential arena -- there's too much corruption money at stake that the Democrats could divvy up if they get Biden into the White House to risk having Bloomberg get in there instead.

That's another reason they don't want to see President Trump get reelected -- he's not corrupt, and he'd let all that nice, green tax and other graft money they could steal get away from them.

Unless he runs as an independent & splits the socialist/ dem vote 1

He could do the same to them as Ralph Nader used to do when he ran on the "Green Party" ticket, siphoning off votes from various left leaning constituencies.

Bloomberg is a "progressive" Democrat. When he ran for N.Y. mayor the first time, he ran as a Republican because the Dems already had a candidate. When he was elected to a second term, he switched to "independent," then he bribed the corrupt, Democrat majority city council to "bend the rules" and allow him to run for a third term.

He's not about America, he's about being "The King."

Don't be too amazed if, when Biden gets the nomination, Bloomberg runs as an independent, a "libertarian" or something else just to try to get into the White House and attempt to micromanage the country.

The usual weeping and gnashing of teeth, this time in overdrive, only without a House majority with which to make trouble. 😁

Aww... you only have 11 months left to play that fantasy RP.

Ah, what the heck - I'll jump in...

Part of me hopes Trump does win in the next election year because the policies passed into law under Trump and McConnell are finally going to catch up with us in about a year or two and the economy is going to crash. If a Democrat is in the Oval Office when that happens, millions of Republican voters will blame him for it, Republican leaders will take advantage of their guiliablity and Trump will of course blame the American people for removing the "only person smart enough" to have prevented the crash.

But if Trump does somehow manage to advance to a second term, there will be no other president to blame for the things he is doing now. At first, I expect (hope for) a new wave of creative excuses to feed late night monologues but eventually, all but the most tenacious of supporters will start to change their minds about the clown.

Another four years also increases the odds of a real crisis occurring while Trump is in office. Not just as a consequence of what he is doing now but any of those things that can come out of nowhere. Trump has not been tested yet. Obama (probably the most tested president since JFK) handed him a strong America with a vibrant economy. It's been so good Trump has had to fabricate "crisis" situations and "fixes" just to make himself look good. But four more years of Trump increases the odds that he will actually have to fix a real problem.

Seriously, I don't think Trump can handle a second term. He is such a bad president that an impeachment would actually save him from an even worse fate.

Hey we need to look at the good side, the right won't be able to blame the crashing economy on a democrat.

I'm sure you are hoping for a crisis that you can pin on Trump. Why would that surprise anyone after what the Dems have tried for the past 3 years. Maybe you should consider that your hate for Trump is winning out over common sense and rational action. Have you considered that most of this Country is aware of what really happened. They're sick of Obama's apologies for America and his paying the terrorists in Iraq. They can tell what America has become under Trump and no amount of rationalizing is going to change that. Why don't you just sit back and relax and watch Trump keep his promises - at least as many as the crazy left will allow him to keep. Would you read that last sentence of yours! What a load of BS.

Of course you are, it's what you want to believe.

You mean questioning the integrity of a corrupt and incompetent president? Sorry, but some people need to be the adults in the room.

bylm1-Bernie wrote:

Maybe you should consider that this "hatred for Trump" is a projection of your own hatred for liberals in general. Look up "psychological projection".

bylm1-Bernie wrote:

Well, I don't know what "Country" you're talking about but here in America, Obama consistently got higher approval ratings than Trump ever has, so I'm guessing your conclusion is as faulty as your details are ridiculous.

bylm1-Bernie wrote:

I'm not sure what you think America has become, but just because something changes under a president doesn't means it's BECAUSE of the president. The economy was booming under Clinton too but it's not because of anything he did.

OK... I'm sitting back... I'm relaxed and I'm watching Trump. But... I'm not seeing him keeping any promises. Do I need to relax more? Maybe if I relax enough to fall asleep I can dream about Trump keeping promises. Would that count?

Look, if you can come up with some actual evidence that Trump has accomplished something that Greta Thunburg couldn't do, I'll take you seriously.

I have yet to see Trump do anything challenging. I don't count the endless repeal of Obama's executive orders because all he literally has to do for that is sign a paper... I mean, who can't sign their own name? And no, it doesn't make any difference if he signs it really big. The only major legislation he is known for is the 2017 Tax Reform, which he didn't even design... Paul Ryan and those guys did. All Dumbass Donny did was... sign his name... really big.

When 90% of the media is left wing and leftists are known for lying, obfuscating, propaganda and transferrence, those "polling" results and other inferences that a destructive, America averse left wing president like Obama was "popular" with anyone outside "Americans" of the portside persuasion are as believable as the rest of the crud they feed the largely unsuspecting public.

It's about as credible as "progressives" who tell us that mega-racist President Lyndon B. Johnson, the architect of the black welfare society and all the squalor, crime and misery it has embodied for over half a century, was a "hero of civil rights."

Your reply is exactly what I expected. Making accusations with no proof and then treating them as if they are gospel. We understand that the left has painted themselves into a corner and with their backs to the wall have nothing left but to lash out with unsubstantiated charges. The first charges by the prosecution in the impeachment trial have been very embarrassing to the left. If this can't be called a sham then I don't know what might qualify as one.

I don't talk to straight up. It's impossible to have a train of thought when he writes a separate comment about every sentence of one's post.
