Oh Happy Day
Jan 13, 2020 21:13:29   #
Wolf counselor Loc: Heart of Texas

It's just great when the start of a busy week goes well.

It puts you ahead of the game and allows you to coast right through without a hitch.

You can sidestep any grief being generated by negative naysayers and proceed with a smile on your face and a little extra pep in your step.

I encourage my conservative friends to simply brush aside the disgruntled losers who lurk along your pathway and keep your eyes on the prize.

Cherish the ones dear to you and remain true to the standards that compel your desire to be prosperous.

And then take full advantage of the freedom to do so.

Stay positive and remember, we are winners and there ain't nothing wrong with striving to be the best at what you do.

So why not enjoy this time of America's greatness and live your life to the fullest.

You have every reason in the world to sing out your favorite song or dance a little fandangle just for the fun of it.

We've got a great country, a great president and a great opportunity to keep things rolling in the right direction.

It's got an old salty geezer like me singin' Oh Happy Day.

I ain't rich money wise by any means, but I wake up every morning knowing that I have more wealth than I deserve, sir!!
I have everything a man can ask for!

Well.....except for grape jelly. I don't have that.
I was thinking a PB&J sandwich might be good for lunch tomorrow, but...no jelly.

If that's the worst problem I have right now, I figger I'm doin alright!!

Hey Arch, grape is good - but have you had any homemade sand plum jelly? Much better than anything store bought. My niece in the Oklahoma panhandle made some, sent me 2 quarts - now there is a niece worth kerping. Seriously Arch, if you haven't tried it, you need to. Just go out in the country around your North Texas home twenty, find yourself a thicket and pick about 5 gal. Mom can boil and strain it, cook it up with Sur-jel and put in jars. Nothing better on hot biscuits with butter - or, PB&J sammiches, oh and your pooch will love it too. :)
Love ya brother,
SGM B out.

We actually used to go out along the Canadian river and pick sand plums. A neighbor made jelly with them. She also made prickly pear jelly that was really good.
Some of the things we did with the kids when they were young........

Is it any wonder that they're normal now?
