Hard right equals republican you can be a Christian and have your faith, but when you have the Christian coalition you are going away from our constitution which clearly states a separation between the church and the states. now a question for all on OPP since the Church pays no taxes does the Christian Coalition pay taxes if they do then that's fine if they don't then they should get out of politics . simply put separation of Church and State

Separation of Church and State is no where in the Constitution! Mike

How often are you told you don't know what you're talking about? Obviously it never grabbed and held on; gnats are also known for having a short attention span. One more time, one last time - there is no provision for the separation of Church and State in our Constitution. There is, however, a provision that the state cannot interfere in religion. You might wish to revisit the First Amendment and read it instead of taking, at face value, what atheist and communist push thru the ill Iinformed public mind. The abolition or state control over religion is a necessary function of Communism. Familiarize yourself with the history of nations that succumbed to Communism and recognize how the attempts to delegitimize religion were too often sought with martyrdom. Martyrdom was never an effective tool to destroy Christianity.

One reason Churches are not taxed is because the ability to tax is an ability to control. Thus we return to the First Amendment. (You do recall how Obama weaponized the IRS?)

Each of the nation’s three founding documents—the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the United States Constitution—carefully avoided all mention of Christianity or Christ. Article VI of the Constitution states as dramatically as possible, that “no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States” –hardly the hallmark of a “Christian” nation.

My mistake it was Thomas Jefferson view of it in a letter in 1802, since he wrote the constitution I believe that that was the intent. as did Jefferson

You conveniently believe that which supports what you think, not what is necessarily true.

The evidence is overwhelming, but I am not going to bother to list the endless destructive acts of Trump and the GOP. (Just peek at the impeachment process.) If you are still a supporter of his after all he has done to disgrace the office of the presidency and undermine the principles, laws, and ideals of America for 3 years, you will turn a deaf ear and no amount of proof will dissuade you. In the words of your idol, “Sad!”

This is just “I told you so” warning from what will soon become the end of our Republic. It will not please me to stick my tongue out and waggle my ears at your pathetic allegiance when it all falls apart. Backing Trump is backing this nation's slow death into an autocracy. Seriously. Open your freaking eyes, please.

Dismiss it as hate to criticize the president's blatant and despicable behavior is an unforgivable and shameful sin of omission for your base self-interest and catered fear.

I know you can't see those bare facts for so many reasons. I understand and it saddens me. But this country is under direct threat by this sociopath called Trump. And I will admit again how much I detest Trump's actions. Not him. He is not worth hating. A fly or mosquito in the middle of the night waking us up and making sleep difficult is his character to me, yet to the country it is a parasite in the gut of our government eating at the core of liberty. You will realize this far too late.

It is amazing how such simple things can be brainwashed by simpleton viewers of CNN. ...We can understand the citizens of America, not long ago millions of people were without a job not able to care for their families. Now after just three short years these people are working , once more they are able to care for their families. The President of the United States handled the economy, and we actually have an economy flourishing. It was a great Christmas, with happy faces record breaking sales. Life is good............Trump dysfunction syndrome is going to be around for awhile. seems some people must have something to protest makes little people seem big We should just ignore them, they too will be working supporting their families and still swearing at the President.

I can see them. Many of the Republicans have been on Soros' payroll. There should have been, but weren't term limits for everyone. You don't understand that Trump is our ace in the hole against the deep state, the establishment is gone. So part of his job is finished. The GOP is dead so to speak, a new GOP takes its place.

Its funny my letter to kevyn could have started out the same as your post until I got to the 'meat' of the subject. Did he read it? I don't know, it's his loss if not. It wasn't about politics per se, more his way of living. Which sucks.

You may be right about its effects, but what about its motive? There is a report he took this rash action to placate GOP war-hawks in the Senate to help with his impeachment hearing. That report come from the Wall Street Journal, a highly Conservative source.

If that were the case he'd have listened to John Bolton long ago. Nope, oh and if you're going to ask why he didn't talk to Congress first (I think you're smarter) they would definitely leak it, telling Solei towel head "watch your ass."

What sickens me is the loss of the standing this country had as the leader of the free world countries, the US took the leading role in almost everything. Now we have a president who has no awareness of national security and the goals of the nation in regards to the directions that are where we are looking to go for the future. He undermines NATO at every turn, his positions are so contentious with the G& that he may as well not be there, our ally nations have figured out that they just need to sort things out themselves that they can agree with rather than have trump disagreeing and opposing everything.

He even brought up readmitting Putin to the G8 and was smacked down, told in no uncertain terms that there are reasons he was removed, and those reasons still stand... yet trump still blathered on about it. Trump is used to calling the shots, and he does not like the diminished respect and lack of a leadership role this president is in. Trump cannot have intelligent conversations about anything when all he has is his completely ignorant and wrong ideas about everything.

Foreign leaders and dignitaries do an incredible job not openly laughing at him to his face, and that veneer has been slipping as they have less and less respect.

You've been suffering emotional nausea and vigorously practicing mental masturbation for three years, no wonder you don't feel good. But your personal distress pales in comparison to the contagion that has spread throughout the American left.

No sickness can compete with the love, respect and admiration you people have for foreign countries and their leaders, especially those that are adversarial, hostile, or are declared enemies of America. It is entirely realistic to think that dictators, despots, tyrants, and terrorists all over the world are bathing in the praise you fools heap upon them. Anyone who hates America is freaking heroic. The Muslim prayer, "Death to America", is the prettiest sound on earth.

America is such a rotten place, isn't it? A real 21st century shithole. America is the reincarnation of the Third Reich, it is so bad here you have to wonder why so many people are leaving their own shithole countries and running for our border, climbing fences and walls, digging tunnels, desperate to get in. I don't recall ever hearing about Jews running to Auschwitz and breaching the fences to get in there.

The leaders of the Progressive Movement truly appreciate the support and cheer leading they get from pretentious minions, and you are a special case. Your ability to read minds is incredible, you are a real psycho-empath. The hyperbolic anti-America spin that informs your world view is stunning. For example:

President Trump "has no awareness of national security and the goals of the nation".
President Trump "undermines NATO at every turn".
President Trump "was smacked down, told in no uncertain terms that there are reasons [Putin] was removed."
President Trump "cannot have intelligent conversations about anything when all he has is his completely ignorant and wrong ideas about everything."
"Foreign leaders and dignitaries do an incredible job not openly laughing at [Trump] to his face."

Well, we know that all of this is utter bullshit, not a thread of truth to any of it. Without a doubt, this is the opinion of a thoroughly brainwashed anti-American zealot who believes he is omniscient.

The hallmark of a Christian nation is not a message written on a greeting card, it is not something codified in our founding documents, it is not subject to some sort of test. The hallmark of a Christian nation is that it was founded by Christians.

Declarations of our Founding Fathers and Early Statesmen on Jesus, Christianity, and the Bible
