Now I'm even more grateful that I was able to spend another Thanksgiving with my family. Missed so many while on deployments. Must be a very sad life to spend Thanksgiving searching the internet for a post such as this.

I see that president Donald Trump is still living inside your head rent free 24/7/365. Which tells me your TDS isn't getting any better.
The remedy and Rx to overcome TDS is simple: pulling your head out of your ass, breathing deeply, looking around, and getting down on your knees to thank God Almighty for allowing you to live in America during this time of unheralded prosperity, peace and promise will help you overcome your TDS.

And look past the facade and veneer of Obama as the smartest, coolest president will also help. Look at the effect of his decisions as president which were uniformly anti-American and which resulted in more people being on food stamps than ever before, border security unchecked, an economy in the toilet, America's national security and stature throughout the world diminished, American Judeo Christian values trampled on and Islam values elevated. Not smart nor cool!

The world does not revolve around you and your ranch. These tariffs have created higher prices for the farmer which affects supplies as farmers respond by increasing output and affect demand as consumers buy less. ...(because of the increase in prices)

Thus, the case against tariffs has two components: the distortions created within the country via higher domestic prices and the costs imposed on other countries via lost export sales and lower world prices. Not to mention how the subsidies, our tax money being spent to support farmers rather than other things such as infrastructure, work programs, education, new technology to keep competitive with the rest of the world who by the way are surpassing us in every way. Agricultural Subsidies, by Chris Edwards
Downsizing the Federal Government, Your Guide to Cutting Federal Spending

The federal government spends more than $20 billion a year on subsidies for farm businesses. About 39 percent of the nation's 2.1 million farms receive subsidies, with the lion's share of the handouts going to the largest producers of corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, and rice.1

The government protects farmers against fluctuations in prices, revenues, and yields. It subsidizes their conservation efforts, insurance coverage, marketing, export sales, research, and other activities. Federal aid for crop farmers is deep and comprehensive.

However, agriculture is no riskier than many other industries, and it does not need an array of federal subsidies. Farm subsidies are costly to taxpayers, but they also harm the economy and the environment. Subsidies discourage farmers from innovating, cutting costs, diversifying their land use, and taking other actions needed to prosper in the competitive economy.

I have never received a subsidy and I don't know anyone who has. Probably some big corporations who run huge farming operations take advantage of the government. Personally, I think farm subsidies are harmful to the agriculture economy.

In Trump's reality he imagines himself as a prize fighter and he relies on you to believe him and follow him blindly. Most of us see him as the big fat, lying, scheming, swindling president that he really is.

Food is important to the Right.

The sniveling over 25 billion to our food supply is a nothing burrito.

Subsidies to other areas can be examined for obvious waste.

We spend 80 to 100 billion a year on illegal aliens.

When we catch an illegal, maybe he or she should have to automatically work for farmers for a set amount of service.

That might help subsidize the farmer too.

No one ever suggested you were the brightest bulb on the shelf once you presumed Trump sees himself as the photo shop prize fighter. We don't like Trump because he's suave and debonair, or because he can't leap tall buildings in a single bound, or because he's not faster than a bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, etc. We like President Trump because he fights against Progressive radicals still clinging to their communist manifesto and Alinsky Rules for Radicals, trying to fundamentally change America.

It would be great to eliminate tariffs if everyone did it. Few countries have. China has a fascist economy which is about to implode. Mexico is corrupt from top to bottom.
