Nobody is trying to outlaw prayer. When I gave chemistry tests, i know there was prayer in class. But I did not lead that prayer. There were Christian prayers and Jewish prayers, and Muslim prayers and Bhuddist prayers and others. I had kids in my classes at BHS, from all sorts of countries.

I grew up during the Great Depression. I never missed a meal. My folks went where the work was, but it raised the dickens with my education. It took me two years, three states and six schools to get through second grade. I attended three high schools in two states. I never saw prayers in a public school. It would be a violation of the 1st amendment for any teacher to lead kids in such activities. Besides they are too busy trying to get through the day's lesson plan.

It's against the law for our government to start a religion & force people to join ! I don't know anything about public school teachers leading a class in prayer, except he or she would go to jail !!! Let's get the Creator out of America !!!

My grandfather, who lived under Hitler, told me that when all the news sources say the same thing, worry. He said the truth is in the differences and no differences equals no truth.

Well they might not go to jail, but a complaint to the school board might convince them to stop as one of my grand daughter's teachers had to be convinced. But you refer to "the Creator." That is generally a sign of a Deist. Glad to see another. But even as a Deist myself, I feel that the Creator should not be in the public schools.

I find it amusing that you liberals delight at the permutations and emanations of the First Amendment to outlaw prayer & the mention of God and to legalize abortion from the Fourth yet simultaneously seize firearms.

Fact: Read The Constitution and the various state ratification acts.

Alrighty then, isn't it amazing how well federalist papers correlate with what is going on today? Nevermind it was a different eta with smart sane people not trying to gut a system but build one. This is not happening today in any way shape or form, instead someone is attempting to make bath tissue of something we cherish by making their own rule. It begs the question why? Fear! Guess who recently trashed new York city and they them. Justice is served. Trumpkins buy for tax reasons that's a given for shoe shine boys and gals infected with a drumpf, sad.

Like taxing and regulating jobs out of the country along with the companies that provide them? Open borders? Multi-trillion dollar healthcare plans run by large government bureaucracies that, once "the rich" have departed, will tax the middle class out of existence? Our liberties dictated by the sort of totalitarian government that inevitably results from your brand of politics? A legal system that says "you're guilty because we say you are?" A media that feeds the public all propaganda, all the time? LOLOL!

That is what that sorry Obama did, that is why we have so much evil doing now.
America used to be a Christian nation, but the liberals have removed God from everything!
That is the problem.

The 1st Amendment made sure that America was NOT a Christian nation. Every Christian nation since the Roman emperor Constantine adapted (not adopted) Christianity has used the religion to enforce conformity and obedience. We have lots of Christians in America and likeany other religion, they are allowed to practice their religion in peace, but they are not encouraged to practice the dark parts of their religion. It could be argued that Bill Clinton tried to make America a Christian nation with that caper down to Waco Texas. That was the first time in our history that we had a government sponsored burning of Heretics.

Just the facts ma'am.
Fact: read the federalist papers no.65

Federalist 65 has absolutely no resemblance to the kangaroo court Schitt the Weasel and Co. are trying to impeach Trump with.

Hamilton was assuming that the politicians involved were acting both honorably and in the best interests of America, not trying to prevent someone from actually acting in the country's best interests by preventing them from interfering in subversive activities and high treason, as the left is doing by trying to get the president out of the way.

Had any of the founders and those that succeeded them -- even including Hamilton, been around to see what the Democratic Party is up to today, they would undoubtedly have taken up arms against your ilk themselves.

Federalist papers or no Federalist papers, the controlling document is the Constitution. The President has been accused of trying to literally blackmail another country into starting an investigation on a political rival for his own political benefit. The House has no choice but to investigate this in closed session and then vote to send the case to the Senate if the evidence warrants this. The Senate then acts as a jury to hear the case and renders a verdict. If the President is found guilty, he may be censured or even removed from office. If President Trump is innocent, he should be the first to demand an impeachment for that is the only way to clear his name.

If you read the transcript, you'd see that there was no blackmail, no quid pro quo.

This whole kerfuffle is just the latest in an endless series of attempts to unseat President Trump because he is standing in the way of, in fact has severely set back, the "fundamental transformation" of America by a party controlled by elements that are malevolent toward our Republic.

If they gave a rat's hindquarters about the Constitution, they would have been right on top of Joe Biden when he blatantly ordered the previous Ukrainian leader to fire that prosecutor or lose $3 billion in U.S. military aid, then laughingly boasted about it on national television.

But nope, just crickets chirping, "nothing to see here" and given that the prosecutor was investigating a firm that was paying Joe's son $50K a month, that quid pro quo was based on outsource corruption.
