Ideas that will work?

Like taxing and regulating jobs out of the country along with the companies that provide them? Open borders? Multi-trillion dollar healthcare plans run by large government bureaucracies that, once "the rich" have departed, will tax the middle class out of existence? Our liberties dictated by the sort of totalitarian government that inevitably results from your brand of politics? A legal system that says "you're guilty because we say you are?" A media that feeds the public all propaganda, all the time? LOLOL!

Pete, I don't understand you anymore, come back to center. I am approaching that with this post.

I now understand that the biggest problem that is causing this impeachment issue, is not whether or not Trump broke the Law but rather will Trump conform with the bureaucrats. We know the answer is no, Trump will not conform to the bureaucrats, and it is the bureaucrats that the problem lies. Because this issue of impeachment is not an illegal act but rather a violation of the former administrations policies.

That being said, let me ask you a question:

In the 1995, Movie Crimson tide, who was correct: Denzel Washington or Gene Hackman?

Okay Pete, How about these quotes from Thomas Jefferson:

"I predict future happiness for Americans, if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."---Thomas Jefferson.

Democrats are declaring that impeachment of Trump "takes care of America. Ridding of the country of Trump is the best thing for America"....hmm

“We in America do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.” ---Thomas Jefferson. Get out and Vote!

“The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ... What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”
― Thomas Jefferson

Isn't this what Trump is advocating.............hmmmmmm, I wonder why the Democrats fight him?

“Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time, who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done, if we are always doing.”
― Thomas Jefferson. Isn't Jefferson warning the Democrats for being "idle", what work has this Congress accomplished?

“I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical. Unsuccessful rebellions indeed generally establish the encroachments on the rights of the people which have produced them. An observation of this truth should render honest republican governors so mild in their punishment of rebellions, as not to discourage them too much. It is a medecine necessary for the sound health of government.”
― Thomas Jefferson
I believe this quote applies to the coup attempt, or should I say the failed impeachment attempts.

“I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves ; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.”
― Thomas Jefferson
Hmm, I think this means, "Why impeach Trump, why not wait until the election and let the people decide?"-----

Opps Pete, I think you chose the wrong founding father to attack Trump, I think he has more quotes in supporting himm. Ut oh another fake news report from the Democrats. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!

Most legitimate news outlets really want to go afrer the truth, and maybe be little biased, but usually in a way you can see thru it. Trump is way over the top, attacking every story that is against him. Every Single One. Obama tried to squash some stuff, but basically supported a free press. Trump is no longer having press breifings. I am a bit surprised Trump has not proposed getting rid of our Constitutions free press admendment.

You cannot tel me that you actually believe the tripe that the MSM is putting out? I have found that CNN & MSNBC are unbelievably biased against the President, and are unable to put out objective news.

Count me with Seth. I must be one of those you complain about.

Every 'progressive' idea has accomplished the exact opposite of its supposed intent but then progressives always have been given the option of blaming their failures on Republicans and conservatives. In that, they w=have the willing cooperation of CNN, NYT. WaPo, etc. It is no longer necessary to have a communist movement in this country with the current Democratic Party.

What's democratic about your solutions? Can anyone opt out of them? Or is your solution the final one?

The Federalist Papers were written, primarily, by Alexander Hamilton to convince a reluctant New York State to ratify The Constitution. I couldn't make it through the turgid prose.

I find it amusing that you liberals delight at the permutations and emanations of the First Amendment to outlaw prayer & the mention of God and to legalize abortion from the Fourth yet simultaneously seize firearms.

Fact: Read The Constitution and the various state ratification acts.

It has become rather a status symbol for some folks to denigrate the Founders, but they were really a smart bunch of people. Jefferson was one of the best.
