Caveat (beware) Students

Many students think that teachers are "Old" and have no idea that they know how students ("con" teachers) also known as cheat.
I recently completed 60 years of teaching. During that time teachers have been wise to all new ways students cheat.
I owned several schools and would infuriate students. If a student taunted me I would give them a warning that the next time they did not follow my rules they would be greatly disapointed. I was teaching a real estate law class and one student had a question about what he could do about the neighbors dog who barked at night. I told him that had nothing to do with real estate and he said that he was in his house and the dog barked on the real estate next door. I replied that "one."
The next day he asked about something concerning a lender foreclosing on his loan. I said that that was "two." During the break for lunch I heard another student tell him that if he asked another non real estate question he would regret it because I had told the class that. In addition he explained that he had had other classes with me and other fools regretted their annoying questions.
Right after the next class staryed he raised his hand. I asked wat his real estate question was. He said that his former wife had custody of their two children and could he drive to Florida and pick them up. I replied that I guess he could. I asked how long he would be there and he said he would return as soon as he had the children in the car.
I told him that I doubted he would leave that early. He asked me why and I told him that the FBI frowned against kidnapping. I replied that as usual you asked the wrong quetion in a real estate class because you did not ask if it were legal, you just asked if you could.
I took out the hundred dollars he paid for the course and to never aply to take any other course I taight.
This reminded of of Noah Webster who wrote the dictionary. He was in the barn kissing the maid and his wife walked in and she said "Noah Webster I am surprised." He replied, "You, my dear are astouned, I am surprised."
