As far as Atlantic City goes, the gaming industry there had been on the way down for some time, for a number of reasons unrelated to management incompetence.
When I worked in the gaming industry in Nevada, we could see the writing on the wall for Atlantic City -- and that was between 1988 and 1996, well before the business in Jersey started to hit the skids.

I'm going to guess that those "lefties" in NY with the OTB are not President of the United States - and that may explain why that story is not often repeated. I was working in Atlantic City on an FAA project during '97, and I remember the time well. Trump took out a number of loans trying to save Taj Mahal during that time. There are numerous stories going around that Trump never re-paid those loans -which eventually led to none of the US banks wanting to do business with him....and now he's the (fake) president.....go figure.

Funny...I have found those of you who so strongly support Kavanaugh and claim "those accusations are 30 years old!" -were strangely silent while Cosby was roasted for accusations that went back 40 years with less proof. Hmmm.....
