It would be, I agree, but I cannot remember the dates. I think it was 30,000 years ago.

That's why Obama spent millions on beachfront properties. Never said he wasn't smart.

That is probably one of the strongest arguments standing in for your prognation. I'm a land surveyor on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. And every time they come in and do what is called Beach nourishment which means bringing in more sand. The natural action of the tides and storms drags all that sand out and builds shallow Shoals offshore very flat which allows the next storm to come in even further with the title rise to do more damage to the shore. I've been doing this for 30 friggin years plus and I see it every day. Unless you have a beach covered with Boulders and rocks where you need army boots to walk. It makes good for the large sea clams on the Cape Cod Bay Side where the water is frigging cold and it does well for the quahogs on the south side of the cape. Better than half the work we do is the seaside work on million dollar properties (hello TT, sounds like you've seen it) where is the people have the money to get the permits to do the work only to see Mother Nature drag it back out. From what I have seen the ocean has risen 8 in in the last 50 years or so. And is more or less stable. They say the ocean Rises by 1.5 millimeters to 2 millimeters per year. Ever notice liberal experts need bulshit for an agenda to suck the money out of the average person being your taxpayers.
That is probably one of the strongest arguments st... (show quote)

I was reading an article on an archaeological web site yesterday. It showed that 55 million years ago the sea had risen 20 meters for over a million years. And even feather back it the past it had occurred many times. Not much effect to life on earth then or now.

When I lived in Yuma in the 1960s, I used to hunt jackrabbits in the vast desert with a 357 magnum revolver. I loved it. The jacks were fairly safe as it is exceedingly difficult to hit a running jack rabbit with a four inch barrel revolver. I did get some. Anyway, while hiking the desert I would find small sea shells everywhere. The Yuma area was under water some time ago. All this tells me is that the earth is under constant change and nothing remains static forever.

You are right but seems the left have a hard time understanding it.

The left works over time to NOT understand or admit that they actually do. It's their political football, like immigration. They want to talk about it all but do nothing about it.

If I told you, you'd harumph and say there's no reason to even try. I'm doing what I do for my kids' sake and it involves being less of a consumer.

Much like you, yes, but my effort is a drop in the bucket. Yours isn't even that.

That's right.
One day my husband came home in the 18 wheeler.
It was loaded with bags of sand.
I asked what it was for.
He had to take it to California for the beaches for the erosion.
