Positive Attitude

"Life is not the way it's supposed to be - it's the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference."

After his plane was hit and he was forced to eject, the Marine Corps fighter pilot finally regained consciousness. He was in a hospital, in a lot of pain.

He found himself in the ICU with tubes/IV drips in both arms, a breathing mask, wires monitoring every function and a nurse hovering over him, looking worried. It was obvious he was in a life-threatening situation.

The nurse gave him a serious look, straight into his eyes. Knowing he was not only a fighter pilot, but a Marine, she spoke to him softly and slowly, enunciating each word: "You may not feel anything from the waist down."

Somehow he managed to mumble in reply, "Can I feel your tits, then?"

And that, my friends, is a real positive attitude.

That was real good, funny but positive. Haha. Positive attitude is what's it's all about. I was in the
Hospital about a year ago and after they put me through all kinds of test a young woman Doctor
Came in my room and told me I had a certain condition, I hadn't heard the name of it so I asked her
What's the prognosis, I asked, a year? She sort of squinted and said, "nnooo" so I asked, "some months?"
She sort of looked away and said, "nnnnooo". I asked well what's left. She saiid, " A few weeks." The
First thing I could think of was, "how do I tell my wife and son who is a lawyer in another state. Well, to make a long story shorter, the young doctor made an error, not by too much maybe but none the
Less, a reprieve. But you know, I just keep going as I have all my life, I really don't worry about
Things I cannot do anything about. Sometimes a clear free mind makes a difference in actual body health
I just get positive about things because I'm not really in charge, nature has a way of correcting things.
I'll be around for a while longer.( Ex-Coast Guardsman, Gunboat WPG 31)

Positive attitude HAS changed many things and does make a great difference and Dr's are not Gods and only he makes that call. We all have a date when we will leave only he knows if you have finished your work here in this world. My kidney Dr. Just looks at me she has caught my blood pressure at 262/120 and I don't feel it I just take my prn med and keep on going because it runs like that a lot.I have not had a stroke or heart attack so I'm going to say I've not finished my job here in this world. The last Dr. I saw did a scan and I told him it's not going to be my kidney that kills me but one my arteries will give and It will be over. He was surprised said doesn't that scare you I said sure but its a fact I'm not going to lay down and wait it is what it is why worry
