Not so sure. It wasn’t the government of Saudi Arabia that attacked us. We know where they trained and where Bin Ladin was located. These guys have no loyalty to country of origin. Quite the opposite.

Their loyalty is to the Koran, and ONLY the Koran.

It’s what she has said many times. She is anti Semitic, anti Christian, and anti American. You don’t have to look hard to find a lot of her disgusting comments. Where’s all this supposed anti Muslim violence?

She really doesn't practice her "faith" very well.
What she has done would get her stoned in her country.
Their hatred for us is off the chain.
Why do they want to come here and turn us into what they left?

Because they don't hate what they left. Their goal is to take over the world, and to do that they have to spread out all over the world. They view what they are doing as a sacrifice for the good of Islam.

snip from article "The main reasons for Islam’s growth ultimately involve simple demographics. To begin with, Muslims have more children than members of the seven other major religious groups analyzed in the study. Muslim women have an average of 2.9 children, significantly above the next-highest group (Christians at 2.6) and the average of all non-Muslims (2.2). In all major regions where there is a sizable Muslim population, Muslim fertility exceeds non-Muslim fertility."

The government of Afghanistan attacked America? I missed that...

Bin Laden was located in Afghanistan? Odd... For some reason I was under the impression that his entire family was in Saudi Arabia and he was captured in Pakistan...

The Wahabi ideology comes from Saudi... That is the scary fanaticism that is pushing Jihad...

I wonder if it really matters if they were Saudi’s. Saudi Islamists hate their own government as much as ours. Al Qaida is made up of Islamists from many countries. Hard to tell with these scum if country matters at all.

No disagreement from me on this. I'm no fan of Islamic terrorists. And agree they are not 'nation' oriented as we understand the term.

The Catholic church used to have larger families, and the only form of birth control they approve of is natural family planning. However, I believe a large percentage of Catholics use other forms of birth control. My family is Catholic (although I am no longer a practicing Catholic - I consider myself to be a non-Catholic Christian now) and I have six siblings. However none of those siblings has more than three children. I know my sisters use birth control other than natural family planning, so that is why I believe other Catholics are doing the same thing.

One thing I'm pretty sure of is that I doubt there are many Muslims standing in line for abortions. Americans are encouraged to have abortions at an alarming rate by our government...so Americans are downsizing their families to one or two children, while Muslims are growing their families. I don't think I will be around when their numbers become larger than Americans' but I know my son and his children will be. Those will be interesting, if not dangerous, times.

You may be correct. I know his family is Saudi but I was pretty sure he was in Afghanistan for quite awhile fighting the Soviets. Saudi Arabia kinda falls under the heading of the Enemy of my Enemy is my friend.
Wow. Talk about timing. I was just watching Tucker Carlson who had an attorney on who represents some families that had members killed in the attacks on 9/11. According to him the FBI knew Saudi diplomats that were helping two of the hijackers. Seems according to the attorney the Obama administration fought the declassification of documents proving this and Obama even went so far as to say the families couldn’t sue to have the info showing Saudi involvement released. If this is true I will be very disappointed in my country’s politicians.

This has been pointed out many times. Seems it won't make any difference. You are correct to point out that she was talking about the rise of Islamophobia and anti-Muslim discrimination and violence.

It's strange to me that 18 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis, yet they are still our besties in the Arab world. But Ms. Omar?....yeah, let's attack her.

Islamaphobia is a tag CAIR and its supporters use liberally and mostly inappropriately.

Muslims like Omar are reaping what they’ve sown. People can try and spin her remarks any way they want but at the end of the day she still supports a terrorist front organization and is part of a growing religion thats a cancer in this world. For whatever reason the left coddles them. If someone who claims to be a Christian is involved in a mass shooting watch out. But if its a muslim the apologists are all very quick to say ‘but thats not all muslims’. Its crazy.

It's sickening and we still have the 1954 law that says they cannot come to the USA.

BB you run your mouth as if you read what Lady Omar said, in the talk and in interview afterwards.

You do not know crap..

Only repeating what the right wing fish wrap told you she said.. it is not in fact what she said or how she stands..

Simple right wing lies for the right wing simple minded.. helped and directed by trump of course..

So.. she said..

https://www.factcheck.org/2019/04/rep-ilhan-omars-9-11-comments-in-context/

“Many people expect, expect our community to feel like it needs to hide every time something happens,” Omar said, referring to the American Muslim community. “But repeatedly we have shown them that we are not to be bullied. We are not to be threatened. We are not to be terrorized. We are strong and resilient, and we will always show up to be ourselves because we know we have a right to a dignified existence and a dignified life.”

Omar said discrimination against Muslims has been exacerbated by President Donald Trump, who once said, “I think Islam hates us.” She went on to say that the president “thinks it is OK, it is OK to speak about a faith and a whole community in a way that is dehumanizing, vilifying, and doesn’t understand — or at least makes us want to think that he doesn’t understand — the consequences that his words might have.”

Because here’s the truth, here’s the truth, far too long we have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen. And frankly, I’m tired of it. And every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it.”

That was immediately followed by the sentence with the phrase that is the subject of the recent controversy.

“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties. So you can’t just say that today someone is looking at me strange, that I am going to try to make myself look pleasant. You have to say this person is looking at me strange, I am not comfortable with it. I am going to talk to them and ask them why. Because that is a right you have.”

Trump joined those critical of her comments with an April 12 tweet that said, “WE WILL NEVER FORGET!” His tweet included a video that starts with Omar’s clipped comment — “CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something” — followed by gruesome scenes of the 9/11 attacks. The 43-second video, which has been viewed more than 10 million times, repeats her phrase “some people did something” several times interspersed with footage of the attack and wreckage.

Omar said that since the president’s tweet, “I have experienced an increase in direct threats on my life — many directly referencing or replying to the president’s video.”

she retweeted several defenders who said her comments were being manipulated and used out of context. In one tweet, Mehdi Hasan, a columnist at the Intercept, wrote, “She didn’t trivialize 9/11, she pointed out that Islamoohobes like yourself use 9/11 to smear all Muslims.” In another, Rep. Ayanna Pressley wrote that Omar’s “full comments clearly speak to post 9/11 #Islamophobia” and that “Manipulating her remarks is defaming & dangerous for her & her family.” And Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez noted that Omar is a cosponsor of H.R. 1327, a bill that seeks to fully fund the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.

On CNN’s “State of the Union” on April 14, host Jake Tapper asked Rep. Nadler if he took “any issue with the way Congresswoman Omar characterized 9/11.”

“No, I did not,” Nadler said. “She characterized it only in passing. She was talking about discrimination against Muslim Americans. And she just said that, after that happened, it was used as an excuse for lots of discrimination and for withdrawal of civil liberties.”

She was speaking about Muslims being discriminated against. Her statement was not taken out of context - we know EXACTLY what she was referring to. What you quote her as saying above shows how much she wants to separate Muslims from Americans. There is no such thing as a "friendly" Muslim. They do not assimilate, they stay together as groups all over the country and make sure those groups grow and grow. And when they are large enough, they will unite and do what they have done all over Europe and especially the UK. Non Muslim people are infidels to them. They are taught by their Koran that if non Muslims will not conform to Islam, they must be killed. They are anti-Semitic and anti-American and they should certainly NOT be part of the Congress of the United States of America.
