What an insidious idea, convince the public that pharmaceutical grade fluoride is the same as the "toxic waste" sodium silica fluoride, and then sell it to municipalities to add to their water supply on the premise that it strengthens teeth.

I lived in Germany for four years and never saw anyone with bad teeth. Went sightseeing in France, Holland, Belgium, and Switzerland and didn't see any bad or missing teeth. The ones I did see were in older people in the 70 to 80 age range. They lived through some really tough times. Starvation rations will make your teeth fall out sometimes.

Well...fluoride never prevented tooth decay for me...and it's in toothpaste...which also didn't prevent tooth decay.
Seems unnecessary to me.
