A bit of information regarding Syria.

This post contains a podcast. One can listen as well as read the written version. This is a different perspective from what we're being spoon-fed by our government and the press. One can draw their own conclusion, but if it's as these two guys indicate, what is taking place is criminal.

One of the things I wondered about recently is how come none of the Democratic contenders for the nomination have as their platform stopping the wars America finds itself engaged in in the Middle East. Or, for that matter, how come the press isn't howling as they did during the Viet Nam era.

Thinking about that caused my intuitive antenna to go up. The difference from then and now is that now the draft is nonexistent. One probably associates the elimination of the draft with the protests that took place during the Viet Nam experience. Eliminating the draft had nothing to do with the protests.

Those who designed the Middle East take over campaigns had to first eliminate the draft. Eliminating the draft was crucial, to use the draft to fill military ranks was a none starter. Attempting to use the draft would have caused again the type of protests seen during the Viet Nam war.

The sinister plot being devised for the Middle East didn't need that type of publicity.

Well, I'll be, Okie. That's strange. I've posted stuff from this site before and don't recall a problem. Go back and check again.

The draft has not been eliminated, it simply is not being used. Each state continues to have an administrator for the draft board in the event............

In my opinion, the press is responsible for creating the protests we observed during Vietnam. They have always attracted those who are ruled more by their emotion and they play to that group. Today, more than any other time in my recollection, the Press is suitably recognized by thinking folks as " the fake news. "

Except for geographical location there was little difference between Korea and Vietnam. We were fighting the very same enemy and ideology. Today, in America, the Left embraces that ideology........ "In my opinion......."

Globalresearch is an "anti-Western" website that can't distinguish between serious analysis and discreditable junk — and so publishes both. It's basically the moonbat equivalent to Infowars or WND.

While some of GlobalResearch's articles discuss legitimate humanitarian concerns, its view of science, economics, and geopolitics is conspiracist — if something goes wrong, the Jews West didit! The site has long been a crank magnet: If you disagree with "Western" sources on 9/11, or HAARP, or vaccines, or H1N1, or climate change, or anything published by the "mainstream" media, then GlobalResearch is guaranteed to have a page you will love.

The website under the domain names globalresearch.ca, globalresearch.org, globalresearch.com, and sister site mondialisation.ca is run by the Montreal-based non-profit The Centre for Research on Globalisation (CRG) founded by Michel Chossudovsky, a former professor of economics at the University of Ottawa, Canada.

Whenever someone makes a remarkable claim and cites GlobalResearch, they are almost certainly wrong.

Says you! Perhaps you're the one who is wrong. I'd be willing to bet the farm they get more right than wrong. It stands to reason that those Global Research focus on would attempt to discredit their reporting.

How about you giving us your sources, perhaps they need to be scrutinizing for accuracy.

Who were in power when this country assumed it was need to derail President Assad? I don't think it was Bush or Trump. Hmmm, who could it have been in power at that time. I know but do you?

I'm thinkin', Obama. Obama and his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were in the drivers' seat at that time. Something that has puzzled me is Obama's seeming indecisiveness, however, it was probably calculated. He obviously knew a move on Syria would make the Israelies happy, yet he was no friend of Israel.

Obama made headlines with his red line pronouncement, then never carried through. It's my perception, Obama realized how he was supposed to play the game and knew how dangerous it could be if he didn't play it according to the rules.

So he appeased with one hand and took away with the other, keeping his perceived enemies off balance and indecisive. Still, I wonder what convinced him to allow Mummar Gaddafi to be taken down. Perhaps things happened, at times, without his blessing.

I think he knew everything that happened on his watch and most likely approved of them.

Well, I'm not so sure. Perhaps things have changed since the sixties, but according to some, during that time the CIA was out of control, and could still be. Usually, things get worse with time, not better, where government agencies or government itself is concerned.
