The New And Changing Definitions Of Patriotism And Loving This Country

The way the idea of patriotism and what being a patriot is is being used to define something it is not, but more importantly it is being used to exclude a group of people that do not it the new "guidelines".

Trump is defining a patriot as someone who supports him, who loves the country because of that. Those who do not support him, according to his rhetoric do not love the country and are not patriots as a result. This is obviously unadulterated horse crap.

Patriots have always sided with the US against Russia, who has always been an enemy of this country. Russia has in recent history even after the cold war fought proxy wars with the United States in Afghanistan and other countries. They have backed the sides that represent the opposite of democracy where we have in theory been involved in the support of democracy and the free world. We broke Russia financially, depleting their resources in Afghanistan, and kept up financial sanctions that prevented them from funding military buildups. Sanctions that prevented Exxon from paying them half a trillion dollars and funding their oil industry kept Russia broke.

Trump is on the worst side possible siding with Russia and other dictators, and those who blindly support it are fake or alt patriots. People who criticize a president who constantly defies laws do not hate this country as the right rhetoric insists, in fact those who don't get it are not patriots, they don't know what a patriot is.

There is a difference between criticizing President and bashing him....Its ok to criticize him, but calling him names,wishing him dead,bashing his supporters just because they disagree with you politics its totally different story....And as for Russia..Please tell me if Russia such an enemy then why obama and killery wanted to do reset with Putin???...Why Bernie speaks so fondly of Russian communism??..Is that being patriotic in your eyes???..Is supporting Antifa patriotic in your view???

Are you trying to say the people that want to shard the Constitution and dismantle our society are patriots? And the men who fight for me and your safety are not patriots? If that is correct you are one twisted nut job.
