Everything in the world screams at the social justice warrior as to how right they are and how right their fight is no matter what they believe they can justify it somehow.

I went to see that movie with my grandson and others recently. While the Fascist allegations are idiotic, I do not like the way Disney tells it's stories. I know it is a fictional children's movie, but I dislike when animals are used to to portray human values. I do not mind English speaking critters. It is the plot lines.

Disney has to find compromises between reality and the fantasies it puts on animals. Like prey animals paling around with predators. Or how does little cub Simba grow up to be a full grown male lion with out killing and eating antelope and zebras ? It seems he does it on a diet of grubs and bugs.

Then you have the whole Mustafa-Simba Dynasty question. They construct this age old medieval lineage as if the male line in the lion pride is the norm. That is not the way lion society works. The males are cast out to find new prides. The lineage is preserved in the female side. When a male takes over a pride he eats all of the cubs from the previous Males.

On the bright side, the villains Scar and the hyenas are the most realistic characters in the whole movie.

I realize I am being very Sheldon Cooper, but I have always disliked the Disney-fication of animals.

I'd love to write a Disney animal movie. The animals would still speak English, but they would at least act the way real animals do.

Well, some people seem to like it...

“The Lion King” will record the second-best opening of 2019 — and could replace “Incredibles 2,” which launched last year with $182.7 million, as the ninth biggest North American launch of all time.

..... with that line of thinking -Proud Incurry- rightwingers must be stupid, cuz` they are constantly perjorisizing Hollywood as one of their most ardent antagonist. They(the right) refer to them as -not the west coast- but "The Left Coast."
... every one knows that the media and Hollywood injects editorialized political opinions into their craft.I don't know if you saw the first Avengers,it was loaded with political opinion.Iron Man and the Hulk had the lefts point of view, and Captain America, represented the right side of the political spectrum, and yes they also are for profit, but in the final analysis, the Disney company weighs the content of what's in their movies, and decides if they want it released with their stamp of approval,or desention.I'm sure they have editors that can read just well or better than you.

Walt Disney was a pedophile. The ones running the origination are even worse as they are pushing the LBG whatever crap. Look at the films carefully and especially the animation. There's all kinds of sexual indications hidden in plain sight. Most of the cartoon shows are doing the same. The assault on a decent way of life is every where and personally I'm going to resist and point out to my grandkids where they need to resist. Mike

Disney is out of ideas. The best they can do is remakes of Lion King, Alladin, Little Mermaid? Can't they come up with something original even if it is taken from someone else?

Kids don't even know what Fascism is. Maybe this is an opportunity for parents to educate children of its evils.

They probably don't, and most adults probably will not be able to read fascism in the movie either-but-I found that most people don't understand theory ,but the power of suggestion as to the fundlementles of how they should behave, and to what is the right and wrong of things can be embedded in their subconscious ,and when encountering like scenarios in life they will behave as they have been conditioned to behave by the movie;children more so than adults because children are more susceptible to impression than adults.

That's why when I'm out hiking with friends and suddenly confronted by a bear, I don't need Bear spray repellant or a weapon. I just need to be able to run faster than my friends. LOL
