Why in hell would anyone care what other nationalities think?

I dont know...But it's a good question...There is a saying "When in Rome,do as Romans do!"...So i would substitute America for Rome and American for Roman...Here we go.."When in America do as Americans do!"...Sounds good to me!!!

I don't think its a bad thing that the pledge of allegiance isn't said before council meetings. BUT...to get rid of it to appease those who are offended is wrong. If someone is offended by it then why are they here in the first place? We don't assimilate to them - they assimilate to us.

I recite the pledge at my monthly board meeting and my kids recite the pledge in their schools. We are fine here. Just a note--You do not have to be a Republican to be a patriot.

The Pledge should be required of every institution that benefits from the taxpayers money. If you decide not to be loyal, then you cannot work in any institution that is supported by the USA. Including universities.

Agreed, but it won't be. As much as I want it they (liberal pukes) don't.

I think that very fact is one of the reasons that our young people are so adrift. They have nothing that anchors them to our nation, or our history.
