We allow freedom of thought and ideas? Your whole complaint is that people are expressing ideas and beliefs that aren't congruent with yours. How can you allow freedom of thought and ideas if you don't want to allow those that they have now?

And I'm not going to go on any further. You don't seem to know your own ideology so how can you know how far off the cliff you people have fallen...

Sorry Pete, people like me allow freedom of thought. People like you, well do what you accused me of. The only difference is that no matter how ridiculous your point of view, we listen. You guys don't listen to us. It is that simple.

I see your accusations against us, and raise you 25 or so canidates for president who are so ridiculous that Trump will win in 2020.

You know why Trump doesn't wear glasses, cause he has 2020.....lol

Lemme first correct you on one important point. Nationalism and National SOCIALISM are two different things. As anyone can see, "socialism" is the operative word in Nazism.

1) Nationalism is one of the traits of Fascism:

Snip>>Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of radical right-wing, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.

2) Where did you come up with National Socialism in lieu of Nationalism as defined in every textbook in the world? Had you never heard that Nationalism a central component of Fascism and not all Fascism associated with the Nazis?

4) I conceded the pledge being recited at civic events earlier for which, I admit, I haven't attended many in my life.

So you will listen to people you think disrespect our flag and country? When did you change that point of view?

This is getting too far into the area of conservative hypocracy so I think it best to cut this discussion off now...

Sorry, Pete, but I can't hear you over the sound of my freedom. I imagine you are just bitching again anyway. Probably doing a lot of projecting and complaining cuz not everyone sees things as you do.

The sound of your freedom isn't due to anything you have done. You stand for the side that is trying to stifle the freedom of speech for anyone who you think disrespects your flag and country. And I have to ask, is that a subjective or objective test? What you stand for is one set of ideals and one set of ideals only. Freedom so long as you walk on the narrowest of lines is not freedom. You are free so long as your beliefs conform to the norm but that isn't the definition of freedom this country was founded on. Talk to Ranger--in this country we protect the rights of everyone--even when they are the minority. You hate democracy right? Well, this is a principle you should be able to embrace but clearly, you don't. That means your belief is in Authoritarianism which couples with your belief in Nationalism which means you are well on your way to being a fascist. Are you sure I can't interest you in some socialism? That is after the sugar Hitler offered the German people to get them to swallow the pill he prescribed...a pill that didn't include any socialism at all.

That is not a principle of democracy, democracy is in fact the exact opposite of that. Democracies don’t give a damn about the rights of those in the minority; Republicanism does. Hence why the U.S. and each individual state are Republics.

You are correct. This is our country and we should never forget the bad as well as what good this country has done for the rest of the world. If we are so bad, then why are all of these people coming here by making such a hazardous journey? These progressives that say we are such a bad country are not proud of what this country has done for the world. Why? Just because their Hilda beast lost the election and prevented them from making this country into a third world country. All they wanted, was the power to impose their agenda on the rest of the country, even if it hurt all of us.

I see you ran out of cogent reasons so you had to resort to saying BS again. You are so Ultra-Conservative that you have almost come full circle of being a leftist. Subjective? Objective? Have you stopped beating your wife? You are pushing a false dichotomy.

Good grief! Can you get any more moronic? I mean, this is a total escape from reality, a truly warped corruption in meanings. How is it possible that you can't comprehend the meaning of the National Socialist German Worker's Party? How did you miss the truth about a democracy? How did you manage to twist the meaning of "nationalism" into something dark and forbidding? How did you come to embrace an ideology that is diametrically opposed to our nation's founding principles? You are supposed to be a world class logician, you are supposed to be a brilliant political scientist. WTF happened?

Our founders established a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy. They were well aware of the inherent destructive nature of democracies.

Many Americans, including Ranger and myself and others on OPP, swore to support and defend our constitution (our American way of life. Our freedom) against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. As millions of Americans have done before us, this we will do.

PeterS: "You stand for the side that is trying to stifle the freedom of speech for anyone who you think disrespects your flag and country."

Right, Pete, it is OUR flag and country. There is no doubt whatsoever where you stand, whose side you are on.

Speaking of meanings.

This is just 3 of the many illustrations of fascism being a construct of the left, and more than just historically. The left today is just as fascist as it was when this ideology was created.

It appears as though the Peters and other hypocrites of San Francisco are beginning to get an advance taste of how much "say" they would actually have under a fascist "progressive" government.

True, but having lived in San Francisco as recently as 2004, I was wondering how long it would take before those "progressive" elitists and the not so wealthy useful idiots who follow their lead at the polls would finally get a foretaste of the consequences of their votes.

We can already see a lot of these same stupid people fleeing California and the fruits of what they voted for, only to resettle in saner states and immediately begin voting for the same crap again, as if the results might be different.

They are like an infection that spreads on contact...
