Gun bans disarm innocent women, making them tempting targets for criminals. According to Bob Morse:
"That is only one of the ways that gun-control leaves women at greater risk." Here's some more:

Might as well put a sign on the young ladies to wear on their backs, "I'm a gun free, defenseless female. Please don't hurt me."

Why not, they do it at schools, courthouses, federal buildings, etc. Seen this? Read the small print. This is a sign I spotted outside the
target rich environment Santa Rosa County courthouse in Milton, FL.

Thankfully I live in Kansas!

Even worse are the little "gun free zone" signs with no metal detection at all.

Yeah, the ones where you're fine until you are forced to defend yourself or someone else, then you're in deep doo-doo for having it with you. Forget the lives you saved, you 'broke a rule', now Go to jail, go directly to jail. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.
What morons.
I remember when rules were there for good reason. There
is no good reason for those 'gun free' zones. None whatsoever. They even had to use the
commerce clause to get around SCOTUS challenges:
"It shall be unlawful for any individual knowingly to possess a firearm that has moved in or that otherwise affects interstate or foreign commerce at a place that the individual knows, or has reasonable cause to believe, is a school zone." Now, what does possession of a firearm,
anywhere, have to do with "Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes."
Ah, they say, but it crossed State lines...
The only one's bringing guns into school zones are whackos who are going to get a gun regardless of all the gun bans.

That's not the point. Even if they
legally own a firearm, there is nothing stopping some nutjob from shooting up a
target rich environment gun free zone long before the cops even get the call. Like the old saying goes, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
By the way, this carbuncle on the face of humanity was signed into law by GHW Bush, of all people.

And that is the point that is always made and the one totally ignored by the left. It's the Achilles heel in their thinking!

GHW Bush was not a conservative. he was a politician, first and foremost. He signed that to pander a bit to the libs.

Gee, it's really nice of him to be so 'bipartisan'. 30 years later and the 'pander' is still going strong, I think that's a bit much.
