Got myself involved in a secret program to remove all those opposed to American values to a different land scape for normalization.. time consuming but may accomplish the impossible of giving knowledge to the stone headed.

The biggest disadvantage of socialism is that it relies on the cooperative nature of humans to work. It ignores those within society who are competitive, not cooperative. Competitive people tend to seek ways to overthrow and disrupt society for their own gain. Capitalism harnesses this "Greed is good" drive. Socialism pretends it doesn't exist.

As a result, socialism doesn't reward people for being entrepreneurial. It struggles to be as innovative as a capitalistic society.

A third disadvantage is that the government has a lot of power. This works as long as it represents the wishes of the people. But government leaders can abuse this position and claim power for themselves.

Well, do you know what socialism is? I mean really: I’m interested in hearing what you fear or like about it. Public Schools are good, right? Public Works- road maintenance, parks, electric. And public service like police and fire, courts, tax assessors- all of it to support We The People. And the places that privatized public services screwed us. The Prison system is the perfect example.
But we *are* a socialist country. The root word, social, refers to Society. We are tribal people. We do not do well on our own- isolated. And the US hasn’t fought an honest war since 1945. I have so many younger friends who enlisted and served tour after tour in Afghanistan and Iraq. Some died there, others died after they returned. What does the Middle East War (2003 -present) have to do with our way of life? What were my friends fighting for?
I seriously welcome the opportunity to learn from you; to share our ideas.
Let’s start with “socialist.” For 17 of my 32 years working I taught public school. I served the public. I’ve been in the trenches of service to my country. Instead of a rifle I carried a baton, lesson plans, and an iPod. But service just the same.
Are services that benefit the whole society a bad thing or a good thing and how are we defining “social”?

Wait. Are you equating your job as a public school teacher with that of a member of the armed forces who takes an oath to protect and defend the constitution and pay the ultimate price?
If so, I can see why our public schools are in such bad shape. Undoubtedly you pass your warped, twisted, preconceived notions of 'service' onto your captive audience of impressionable young minds. Sad!
Newsflash Mr. Seaman, your voluntarily choosing to take a job as a public school teacher is NOT the same as a serviceman who joins the military. Not even close. As a former ordnanceman in Vietnam, it never occurred to me that my 'service' was interchangeable with that of a teacher standing in front of a class, lecturing impressionable minds.
Obviously, you've been drinking the Kool Aid that is freely served by your local teachers union. You get paid well, have all the medical benefits, 3 months off in summers, a nice retirement package, etc. After you've completed a tour of some hot spot around the globe, as a military serviceman, get back and tell me there's no difference in your so called "service".

Obama the leader? Really??? LOLOL!!!!!!!!!

The guy who caved on the red line in the sand, who would have perpetuated ISIS for decades, who was willing to give Iran nukes in a predetermined time period (which they have obviously never adhered to), who would have raised taxes again, who allowed the nations of NATO to fail to pay their fair share, who continued Bush's policy of democratizing the ME through regime change after regime change, etc, etc?

That "leadership?????"

The guy who gave us shovel ready jobs at $400,000 each, who threw money are "green" companies who failed even with the free money, who made the deal to let big pharma maintain their monopoly of drugs in the USA? That "leadership?????"

As for taxes, Trump has given up more in salary and sheer income being president than you could ever have paid in taxes, ever.

McConnell and Cheney helped influence the policy of the Constitution? I knew they were old, but not that old...
