It wasn’t the republicans that forced an almost additional 10 trillion in debt to us either was it?? Think BO and what we didn’t get to show for it please..

The tax cuts have just started to show, give it some time and watch the companies coming back not wanting to pay the stiff tariff charges too...

Another sore spot for me is how here in America gasoline fluctuates with the blowing of the wind. Even during our worst times of high gas prices ($4-$6 per gallon), places like Kuwait and Quatre enjoyed 11 cents per gallon gas rates.

The government subsidizes there. The entire Middle East is a place where you either are stupid rich or stupid poor. Most are stupid poor.

I think the major problem in Washington is as you say, nobody wants to upset the Apple care and risk not getting re elected. If they took away any freebies then somebody might not vote for them and poof, they are afraid they would have to go out and get a real job!!!!!! That is both sides of the aisle. The people in our federal government really really REALLY don’t care about the country, they care about the power and the money they are making on the side. That’s why term limits need to be set, though it will probably never happen, and the less money we have to give the gov the less they can waste.

They claim they spend their entire lives in public service, but they in reality are spending their entire lives lining their pockets and manipulating the average tax payer. You wanna spend a lifetime helping the public? Get a real job and add to the GDP and pay some more taxes........ donate to a reputable charity........ volunteer and help the disadvantaged!!!!! Serve in the senate or house for a few years and then go the heck home!!!!!!!

buba your comparing apples to pears . there is no or VERY little transportation cost to add to the final price . although I do wonder why our prices fluctuate so much . as soon as the price of crude goes up the price at the pump goes up . yet when the price of crude goes down there is always a several day delay in the price at the pump .

If you consider that we (supposedly) buy our energy in 5 year increments -a change in the price of a barrel of crude oil today should not effect us (up or down) for at least 4 years. Why do the prices change the moment OPEC changes the price of a barrel, especially considering we have our own oil supply? BTW- Comparing apples to pears is relevant since they both are in the fruit family.

ok . I do have to agree . the price we pay does fluctuate a lot . I did not know that we purchased oil on a 5 year contract . seems to be just corporate GREED .

Yep...and you just 'outed' the swamp that has infiltrated.. corrupted.. and is now in control of the (Trump hating) cesspool which Wash has become. This DIDN'T happen overnite either.. it's been ramping up for at least the last 20-30 yrs.. and both sides are obviously culpable. During this time, they have gamed and tainted every single thing imaginable-ANYTHING they have touched. Every govt agency, program, and regulatory/oversight committee they've controlled and/or created has been intentionally and systemically 'loaded up' with their loyal minions. Now, as we are plainly seeing, these loyal minions are.. w/o question or command.. making sure no clear picture or proof of this can.. or ever will be.. established.
