The EPA and other agencies seem to think they can do whatever they want in complete secrecy

Woody, do I detect a slight move by you toward the conservative side?

Woodguru, I sure would not trust the EPA. Man made climate change is a big scam and I believe climate change is confused with pollution.

Okay then, let us forget about any possible climate change, that works for me. Now, what's your thoughts on clean air and water?

Undermining decades of progress in banning chemicals and industry polluters?

I flat can't understand lifting bans on chemicals that the work has been done in regard to proving the harm they cause. The chemical that is so hard on bees has other suitable replacements, it isn't even as if there is nothing and the damage to farmers would be irreparable. Bans are being lifted on chemicals that caused harm that has been being reversed.

How about lifting a ban on the coal industry polluting rivers and streams, what is the purpose for that, so they can dump pollution without worrying about paying for the damage we know results?

I don't know about Hug but I'm all for it. I don't think we need an EPA, or at least one which has gotten out of control, to handle that problem. I think our local municipalities have done a great job for the most part in keeping our air and water clean. Unfortunately, as far as clean air is concerned, we have about 90% of the world polluting our air and they show very little interest in cleaning it up or changing their habits. If you could think of a way to keep China from poisoning our air, I'd be all for that too.

Should be state and locally regulated. Feds should stay out except for navagatible waterways.

They think that now because they can. Welcome to the Trump administration. What can you say about a country that allows toxins to poison its people? This is who we've now become and mind you, this includes the knowledge of hurting children. All this goes against our own instincts of survival, that's how twisted it is.

The only people who allow such things do so due to the fact they feel somehow protected, want resolve, take away their protections, let them drink Flint's water.

Relax, I still want less pollution, primarily for the cleaner air and water. If we cut back on pollution to get cleaner air and water, any sort of climate change will also be affected.

No, local municipalities have NOT been doing a good job, it was the EPA that regulated the positive changes that have helped clean our air and our waters. If municipalities were working, how did it get so bad on their watch?

That didn't work in the past, how well do you think it will work if we did away with the EPA and/or it's regulations now?

The clean water act did a lot of harm to farmers and ranchers.

The bureaucrats carried it too far.

There are ways to protect the water from the garbage that farmers spray on their fields. Better than then to poison the water. Some like to drink the water, fish live in the water.
