Bernie's plan for free college education is not such a bad idea. It just goes too far.

I'm in my late 80's, and when I graduated from high school that was all the education you needed for most jobs. Times have changed. I would support a free 2 year community college or a trade school. Have you needed a plumber lately? When times get really rough, who is going to have a job: my son with a master's from Cornell or the local plumber?

What’s free? The teachers? The building?Equipment? You get the point. Nothings free. The govt. is why college is so expensive. What’s the incentive for colleges to lower costs if it’s paid by the tax payer. Colleges are full of professors, majors, and electives that are a waste of Money.

Most of the bigger universities already have large government subsidies, yet they still charge ever more big bucks.

Every time I go to New York, it seems NYU has bought more buildings all over the city. One wonders what other investments these institutions make.

If the taxpayer were paying for everybody's higher Ed, given the "money's no object" attitude of the average federal bureaucracy, these bastions of left wing indoctrination would have carte blanche to milk the taxpayer to their hearts'content. 🐮-- "Mooo!" $$$$

I'm thinking that a lot of these high ticket "freebies" that pack of socialists are offering up on other people's hard earned money is, at least in part, just another way to buy votes to get their left wing cabal into complete control of the government -- That's when the real path to liberty-free misery would begin.

I am very pro-military and guarantee I could come up with better ways, and why's to cut their budget than you. So you like free education proposed in England and parts of the EU.? Shocker there; you seem to like other people paying for someone else's unearned benefits. Before you get too excited (wish dumb ass Bernie knew this) try looking at Englands GDP. Last quarter of 2019 it was .5%. The E.U.'s is 1.5%. Now I know correlating their economy with what they spend on give aways and their cost analysis benefit is beyond your comprehension, but just for once look at the facts and admit it's not a good idea.
