There is no commonality and I didn’t vote for the guy.
The people who voted for Trump weren’t celebrating his lifestyle or condoning anything they were electing a president. The baker would have been condoning a celebration of an abomination in God’s eyes. The two are distinct.

You sound like a liberal relative of mine who constantly thinks she can fix everyone's lives. You think your little solutions to someone else's problems are brilliant, but you are ignorant of the many small details that make your ideas unworkable.
The baker has his professional reputation to protect. I assume you advise him to threaten to create a substandard product. That would be a far worse thing to threaten a customer with. Especially for a person making food products.

And yet there are many many churches that support and welcome gays to their fold... what is it god really wants, and who's eyes is it in.

Many churches are Christian in name only too. The bible is clear on the subject. All are welcome but if they show no sign of repenting there are steps to follow. If they still don’t repent then they are as a Gentile. Don’t remember the verses offhand.

Pick apart what I'm trying to say, there are a dozen ways to get out of baking a cake for someone ypu don't want to do it for with any semblance of brains and tact.
