When doing our annual trip to Sturgis, I saw numerous two-wheeled setups with V-8 motors. I wouldn't think three wheels is comparable to riding a two-wheel V-8 powered machine. Nice picture though.

Meh. It's nice enough, I guess. It does have a few shortcomings though. Like, it's a V-twin. It only has seating for one. It's way overpriced. And finally, it's freaking orange! Orange? Really? I pass in favor of one of these:

I should have known you wouldn't know shit about motorcycle culture. Any self-respecting " Hells Angel" worth his leathers wouldn't be caught dead on that contraption.

I comment on a photo of an overpriced rat bike and you start ranting about 'motorcycle culture'? Really? Well, how about this? Several years riding courier across Europe delivering everything from contract documents to replacement American Express business cards?

I made just about every motorcycle rally in existence across the entire continent and found ways to get paid for the privilege. Oh, and hardly a Harley in sight the entire time, because the guys I rode with knew a white elephant when they saw one.

My courier days came to an end when a little startup called DHL advertised guaranteed delivery anywhere in Europe in 24 hours or less, for less than the price of a decent steak dinner.

By the way, I was riding a Honda CBR900RR Fireblade down the autobahn on a regular basis. Nothing beats 160 mph on a surface as smooth as glass and no cops to look out for.

Oh, you're a 1 percenter then? Good for you. I never saw the need to join a club, outlaw or not. Same as I never felt the need to get tattoos or do mind-altering drugs. Just not my style. I rode because I enjoyed it, not because of some inflated sense of my own ego.

Don't have a tattoo, never did the drugs, other than a bit of alcohol now and then, and cigarettes that I quit years ago. Can't say I equal your accomplishment. However, I am a Harley rider, never will be anything else.

Cigarettes were a bane to me for over 45 years. I smoked my first one at the age of nine. Try as I might, I just couldn't quit. In the end I had a medical emergency and went for several weeks without a smoke. That broke the cycle. Tobacco free for the last five years and counting. Funny thing, I still get 'the craving' every now and then.

You'll have to stay committed. I've heard many stories from people who quit smoking for several years, then started up again. However, I've attempting to quit drinking "Coka Cola" and while I've been free for several months, this time, every time I try to quit drinking the stuff, I eventually weaken. Quitting smoking was easier than weaning my self off Coke.

Stay the course, don't weaken. You are not out of the woods at five years, and perhaps for a lifetime. Good Luck!

It's the caffeine that gets you hooked. Add in the inevitable sugar high and you've really got a tiger by the tail.

As for the cigarettes, there's an old saying that there's nothing worse than a reformed smoker. I can attest to that. Just the smell turns my stomach. I doubt I'll be relapsing in this lifetime...
