This is just a start, I'm open to suggestions from all, the issue of abortion is a hot issue and off the table for now.

These are just some things off the top of my head.Let's all just try and be civil please, humor is appreciated

Many of us would like to see term limits for all reps and the number of times to be reelected.

To see a push for one official language and everyone who comes in to blend with the one common language, no preferences. Language is the thread that ties us all together as one unified nation, two languages won't do that.

Immigration, I would do what other countries do such as Canada, there would be a five-year wait, even with marriage.
No automatic citizenship simply due to being born on our soil, at least one parent has to be a citizen, either natural born or naturized.

I would end gerrymandering

End any exchange of monies from gifts or trade with lobbyist.

Check the integrity of all voting methods

Reevaluate the electoral count. No decisions until all votes are in, have absent ballads be counted first so they are always included. Find a better order to count the states. California should not be one of the last, that eliminates too many people.

Pass a law that whenever there is a cost of living increase every year, that includes increasing the minimum wage, therby avoiding what we have going on now, a possible jump as we will see now can hurt industries. If maintained yearly this wouldn't happen.

Set some environmental regulations to counter global warming.

Promote healthcare to be a choice of either public or private.

Rein in profit gouging from big Pharma, that we pay the same as our foreign neighbors and not ten times more.

Have different ratings on violence in movies and gaming and to discourage extreme graphic violence from the industry.

As foreign affairs goes, not sure and open to suggestions,

Protect our wildlife preserves, our waters, and air.

Promote more means to recycle garbage from landfills and water.

Most of those goals are what the majority of Americans want. The Democrat/socialist Party would reject them out of hand.

Before reining in drug cost's get the costs of getting a product to market, what I find is at least 2 billion.

This sounds mostly good and they should be goals for both parties. Can we add to that getting rid of lobbies? If not how about making it illegal to appoint former lobbyists to government positions as Trump has done - and others - but Trump has taken it to new heights if I recall correctly.

Moldy posted something interesting about garbage recycling a while back but I can't find it. It looked promising.

Definitely need environmental controls. But we can't go overboard to the point where people's lives are put in turmoil. There has to be a balance. IMO this is another good reason to get rid of lobbyists. Big Oil has a powerful lobby. For now alternative energy is dependent on Big Oil and they know it.

How about when Congress can't balance the budget they get a fine. Maybe they'll take it more seriously. When their time is up they go back to the same healthcare the rest of us get. No special privileges.

One more - how about less control by Big Agriculture - particularly Monsanto. They have way too much control over our food. Small farms are squeezed out in favor of corporate farms.

A few off the top of my head.

That’s true. I’ve been wrong about Morgan. I believe she is more in the tradition of an old fashioned liberal. Like Alan Dershowitz. She is not the far left person I thought. She wants what we want. She just sees different ways to get there.

I agree, JFlorio. I regret having just missed Morgan in a past visit to her part of the country. I have always held a high opinion of her & think it is probably due to her being, as you wrote... "more in the tradition of an old-fashioned liberal."

Besides that, I like 'feisty' and/or 'spunk' in an individual.

Morgan,

Great list, as far as foreign affairs go we need to cut back on foreign aid, especially when we are borrowing money.
Cut foreign aid to countries that don’t discourage illegal immigration. We need to curtail being the police for the world.

I would add one more; that all leftists be incinerated and the ashes be recycled and used for green causes like fertilizer for trees, shrubs, and our National Parks. At least they would be good for something!

I would love to hear more from the middle to left on where they would make changes to any I've mentioned and where you also agree. Not for favoritism but for balance in replies.
